NOT SO MUCH TO MY JEEP PER-SAY....
But i installed a aux. fan switch for a fellow jeeper...
another 99 XJ.... prob one of cleanest installs ever... was IMMACULATE... just wishing now that one of us would have had the foresight to take a couple pics along the way...
In any case, the 3 hours of time, a rocker switch and a handful of crimp connectors, and several feet of wire was all in trade for a set of D30 shafts with spicer joints, and a set of 29 spline 8.25 shafts.... i gave him one of the 8.25 shafts back though.... only need one for a spare.... and i wouldn't feel right leaving someone without a spare.

Very fine lookin' XJ sir!

Saturday...

I finished up the front fender trim, although a couple things need to be dealt with like missing bumper bolts and need to make a new mount for the airhorns. Made braces for both sides out of angle aluminum. Still gotta test to see if its enough clearance when stuffing the tire and turning though.

6151

And driving it last night I noticed this...

6152

And this...

6153

So, apparently that o-ring didn't fix the trans leak. Just gonna try and get another fitting because I suspect the flare (which I did and wasn't ideal) isn't sealing right.

Look out everyone.... he's into mutilation now!!! LOL!!! Cutting is addictive though. I started with just removing the front air dam, then trimmed the flares to compensate for that, then I trimmed the front of the front fenders to just above the bumper, then I trimmed the front fenders bushwacker style (but put stock flares back on), then I ditched all the flares and trimmed up to the lip on all four fenders!

And much cheaper too than Disney. Maybe you should treat her to a trip to the mall for that :D

Definitely!!!

97-01 mirrors bolt on and fold in, that's what I got on my 94 XJ love them.

Yeah, that's what I was hoping to find, but all the mirrors (and good body parts) on the 97+ were already removed by the time I got there.

Sooooo recent update for me...

I thought the HIDs quite working on me because my halogen highbeams (don't have bi-xenon) worked, but the HIDs did not... so I figured one of the ballasts quit working and it just keeps both headlights from kicking on.

So I went through the painstaking process of removing then and putting the sealed-beams back in, only to find out I was experiencing the same problem. Highbeams work fine, no low beams.

So I thought maybe it was the relays in the Putco harness.... swapped relays, same problem. Eliminated the harness altogether by plugging the headlights into the factory wiring... you guessed it... same problem :bang:

So by this point, I'm really frustrated and decide to just run it with highbeams... the sealed highs aren't really all the bright anyway.

Turned on the jeep yesterday evening after work, started driving, low beams came on. :sad0147:

Figured out that the low beams are working.... just not coming on right away.

I don't see how that could be the headlight switch itself because all that does is supply power to the parking light and headlight circuit... sooooooo dimmer switch?!?!?!

I started in on my floor pans..

Removed all seats and carpet. Got most of the passenger side floor removed. Got my templates cut out of cardboard. My cargo area was not too bad so I wire brushed all the spots on back there and cleaned it up really good. It's ready to coat with Rustoleum extra rust primer. Not sure what I'm going to use for flooring.

Wasn't happy with the condition of a couple of my tie rod ends so I ended up replacing all steering components with new and upgraded to a V8 ZJ tie rod in the process. Had the Jeep in the garage last night and noticed a couple drops under the front diff so redid that since it seemed to be a little easier with the tie rod out of the way. Alignment tomorrow after work. 6190

I got nearly all the old floorboard out of the passengers side and placed an order for the full length passenger pan from rock auto. $119 after shipping with coupon code. http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=2353054

The replacement pan will not cover all the cutout I had to make on my tranny hump so I'll have to form some sheet metal for that. Also thought about going to the jy and cutting out that housing section so it'd be a perfect fit. Still not sure. Plus I have no battery powered saw to use if I did want to go that route.

I don't have a welder, so as far as I can see I have 3 options. Buy a welder. Pay someone to weld everything in OR, lots of self tapping screws and sealer.

Also ran into an issue where the top cross brace for leaf spring mount is pretty rusted. Haven't cut that out yet. Not sure what to do. The weld on that mount on the frame side and on the rocker are both in good shape..it's just the cross brace where the original floor pan was making contact with it that worries me.

Haha! Nice.. Ok I'm on it. Any thoughts on the best/most affordable welder to consider? For this particular job I've found a friend that's down to help out with his welder for cheap.

I bought all motor/gear oil, rear and front differential gaskets and tranny fluid today, and also got my sheet metal screws to tack down the new pans that should arrive Wednesday.

Thinking I'll go about 1" spacing. I did have a question. My rust was up the hump a ways. More than the pans will cover. Nearly to the top up front. I was thinking about getting the pans in and then building out the rest of the sides with fiberglass resin so it'd be a very form fitting finish. Otherwise I have several pieces of sheet metal that I can cut and hammer out...kinda not sure which direction I want to go. (the sheet metal would be much cheaper of course.)

No write up. The dome light covers come off super easy. Just squeeze the sides a bit and it comes off if you have the same dome light as mine.

The map lights were a bit more complicated but all it is, is two push on clips that you simply work off slowly then the light housing drops off the headliner and you twist the map lights out of the housing swap the bulbs and then put it all back together. if you can change oil you can do this.

Most military equipment now days especially aviation stuff has or is moving to green for interior low light lighting. It's not only human eye night vision friendly like red and blue, but also works with Night Vision Devices which are used more and more frequently in most military operations.

We don't have a single red light anywhere on our aircraft at work. Red was going to be my first choice but when I thought about the move to green lights I decided to go with green for the Map lights. Might do the same for the dome lights eventually.

Been gone for a few months working on my life and my ride. Red has been pretty good since I did all my work on her. So here's a list of the things I did in the past 4 months:

Replaced the spark plugs (a few of the wires were bad so they were also replaced)
New TPS
New IAC
New CTS
Flushed the radiator and replaced it with coolant and DISTILLED water (runs about 40 degrees cooler @ 195F)
Greased the grease points (definitely a smoother ride now)
White Lithium greased the ball joint steering pins
Replaced a defective Blower Motor Fan switch that had high resistance
Cleaned the rims and sand-pad removed the rust (gave it a nice shine with No. 7 Chrome Polish)
Front brakes replaced
PCV leak repaired
Evap leak repaired
Drilled new ground for PCM
New Cap for Power Steering (leaked from the defective cap)
New Oil Filler Cap
Transmission flushed and filled
Front Diff leak repaired
New Heater Control Valve (old one leaked, replacement blew in half after a day from a factory defect, replaced with a working factory replacement)
Repaired leaks in A/C system (also replaced the A/C clutch which had broken and ground down on one side whenever it engaged)
Fixed Power Steering Pump screw hole with a tap and die
Started using 89 Octane fuel instead of 87 Octane

I noticed when I started using the 89 it gave me a better fuel mileage from 16 to 18.5 and Red has a very noticeable power boost. Gonna replace the injectors today (all 6) for a pesky idling issues where it idles rough but isn't throwing a code. I've exhausted every other option as to what is wrong.

So that's been my last few months lol great to be back

Finished prepping passenger side front and back for new pan.. Had to fabricate some transmission tunnel sides. Got that all ready to go for tomorrow.

Changed rear diff fluid and gasket. Painted the cover and cleaned everything up real nice. . There was about a pint of oil in it and pitch black. No chipped teeth or shavings present though so good.

Sealed the front windshield gasket all the way around.

Greased all nipples.. They were all completely dry.

Well, Thursday night i thrashed to TRY and get the trans leak fixed till about 1am so i could go to matts and help out and it looked good. But the next day i cranked it up and started gushing. Need to get a new fitting but can't find one new so i guess a jy trip is gonna happen soon. Hopefully i can find one there even. Also tightened up the trackbar at the mount and got a few more bolts back in the front bumper mounts.

Gave it a swift kick (to the tire) before i left.

Makes sense.... I would stay away from blue though. There have been numerous studies shown though that show that pure blue light actually hinders night vision. Classic example, I have an alarm clock that has digital blue numbers on it, if I see it from across the room, it's out of focus. Get right up on it and it's fine. Take the same type of clock but with red numbers and I can bring it in to focus from across the room fine and maybe even farther.

Got any power buttons on your computer or electronic devices that are blue? Ever notice how they seem out of focus? It's very hard for the human eye to focus on blue light. That's why HID lights that are too blue are not good for driving. Blue light has a short wavelength so the intensity diminishes over distance... making it bad for night time. I'll have to see if I can find the article.

Stay with green for night. Even red works great for darkness. We use green and red filters on lights we use at night. It enhances night vision while emitting low light as to not attract any attention and or disturb others. I am changing to green led lights this winter when i have the time to strip the interior

Figured while I was out there and had some time I would also put on some hooks I had gotten to hold the swaybar up and out of the way when disconnected. They're spring loaded so no rattling. Even used some existing holes so no drilling required. Four for $6 so I gave my brother the other two so he can do the same if he wants.

It would be interesting to know what you come up with there. I'm sure you could do the fans, but the tranny cooler might be a little more challenging.

My brother and I went to the jy Thursday to get the replacement trans line fitting. You know ya gotta look around while your there. :D Was actually a bit disappointing, not the selection, but the happenings while there. One of the things on my list was an overhead console. Always wanted one and finally found an xj equipped with one. Went back to get my tools to remove it (with my brother who had the cart and tools) but couldn't find him. When I found him he had already pulled it and claimed it. Mind you I just told him the other day I wanted one and he has never shown interest in them. Anyways, I was still ecstatic because I found a '99+ xj with the intake manifold intact. :bacondance: Spent an hour pulling it to find the #6 runner with an inch section cracked off... :mad0090: That was most of my time wasted, so kinda ticked off about that. But I did get a few things none the less. Ended up with a '96- rear speaker bar, '97+ xj ebrake cable bracket, early xj power mirror switch, a few electrical connectors to wire in for removing an accessory like the led bar on the bumper, hood stop thing (the plastic screw in thing), zj proportioning valve, and two of the trans line fittings that I originally came for. Turns out this fitting was made several different ways through the xjs years.

This one...

6316

So far I've seen ones the thread directly into the radiator, ones with flare nuts and varying size nuts, ones that are built in, and radiators that didn't even have a spot for one. I got two to make sure I get one that fits. Well see tomorrow...

For local members to Houston I did see two libertys with disc brakes... and I don't think they'll be needing them.

The plan currently is DD/Weekend Warrior, try and keep the mileage down on the Ram a bit.. But eventually figure it can become a trail beast once it is no longer street legal.. But don't figure that'll be anytime soon.. At least this way if it does break I have a way to tow it myself, and don't have to freak out that it's down, since I do have a perfectly fine working DD already..

Getting ready for winter. Had our 1st snow yesterday. Nothing of substance, it didn't really stick on the grass but it did briefly accumulate on the roofs.

Having fun putting new U-joints into my rear drive shaft ! Living in the rust belt those darn bearing caps are really seized. The clips on several, just snapped into pieces when trying to remove them. But it's 4 down and 2 to go.

After that, on to the transfer case adjustment. It doesn't want to shift into Lo, but I'm almost positive it just needs adjustment.

Brings the idle up to 1000 revs. Good for high temps while idling or while running a winch.

She's pretty clean from the outside for the most part.. The interior on the other had is a completely different story... Got it as cleaned as I could get it today... Will still need to spend some time on cleaning up the seats as I didn't have any upholstery cleaner to use or I would have done it today with the other cleaning I did.. Did figure out that I need to order up some new rear leafs that is for sure... the current ones are flat almost bordering on reverse arching... (I noticed it had a slight rake before I bought it... so it was not a deal breaker to me, but didn't know the leaves were reverse arching.. )

Went and picked up two new O2 sensors & a new IAT sensor as these were the codes that showed up when I checked why I had a CEL doing the key trick.. Didn't know which O2 sensor was really bad, but figure this way I should def take care of the CEL and will know that these sensors will be good to go for a while.. Hoping I can install them and get the CEL to go away, and then try and get her registered tomorrow before I fly out for a week or so on Tuesday...

Doesn't look too bad but what kind of lift does it have out back?

Good luck with the registration. I can't stand that stuff. Hope those sensors take care of the engine light. Seems like a pleasantly easy fix if so.

Well the guy I bought it from said it has a 5" RC lift setup.. said the rear leaves were lost in shipment so he got adj shackles and a 1" block to lift the rear... Figure that setup would have brought it up some, but don't see how that'd bring it up level with a 5" setup... but figured it wasn't a huge big deal, just order up a rear leaf pack and run with that... which is still my plan.. but after looking at it today while I was cleaning, I am pretty sure it was more like a 3" RC lift setup that he put a coil spacer on top of to get to the 5" height.. so figure I'll ditch the rear stock leafs & of course the block and order up a set of 4.5" leafs to bring the back up where it should be, and to hopefully meet and not surpass the front height.. figure I'll slowly get that stuff cleaned up and looking good... once I get everything else take care of, I'll look into doing some more on the suspension.. figure the tires have a bit more life to them, so I'll save up during that time for the larger tires, as well as items needed for a bit more altitude..

Yeah, it doesn't sound like a 5" kit but like you said not a big deal. Gonna do RC leafs? Thought about doing a 3.5" leaf and keeping the shackles? Although with the 4.5" you could put them on to go higher.

I'm looking at doing RC leafs (mainly cause I've run RC before and liked them and their customer service, and cause the lift is RC already..).. Have been thinking about getting the 4.5", especially cause higher is nice, and two cause the 4.5" is actually a little bit cheaper then the 3.5" leafs for some odd reason.. Just debating if I want to go ahead and replace the front coils to 4.5" coils, or just leave it as is for now, then see if the front is higher or lower and make purchases to adj at that time I guess..

Yesterday I fixed up the leak from the trans line fitting. The "new" fitting I got from the jy fit like a glove and even looks near new. In great shape actually, and it came off an '00-01.

6343

6344

And just to show the previous issue. I had to shorten and re-flare this fitting when I warranted my last radiator because it was too long and hit the body. Well, the flaring tool was too thick to flare it completely so I could only get a small flare on it. Well, that was adequate for the time but over the last year I guess it had wallowed out and started to leak.

6345

And here you can see the nut could even slide past the flare.

6346

Also swapped in a new hood stop piece to replace the old broken brittle one. And couldn't get the old piece out so yeah, that's gonna be rattling around in there for a while.

Ordered an aftermarket front bumper for her.. now just need a winch to put on it.. but that'll be an eventual purchase... Don't have any pics of the actual bumper I'm getting, as it was custom build for a customer who never came and got it... and the owner of the shop wanted to get rid of it, so he gave it to me for the same price as the normal winch bumper.. So looking forward to seeing it and getting it coated and installed once I get back from this mission I'm out on right now...

Not sure I saw an update for this, but another possibility is using rivets about an inch or so apart then 30 year caulk to seal it all up. I did this on my passenger side replacement. Also recommend POR 15 for the first coat, if prepped properly, it can be applied directly over previously rusted areas.

The front bumper I ordered for my XJ arrived at my house (feel sorry for my GF for having to drag it into the house)... Anyways... can't wait to get home and see it in person... or at all for that matter, as I wasn't able to get any pics of it before it went out, due to it already being packaged for shipment immediately after I ordered it online.. Also can't wait to get it cleaned up and sprayed most likely with bedliner, and even more so once I'm able to get it installed.. Will get pics as soon as I can get home and get it unpackaged!!

If they come with ally brackets, junk them and make up new ones in steel. Spot weld on the mount bolts/nuts. I've all 3 lightbars done this way, also both winches. Simple and effective, if they want them, they're gonna make a lot of noise. :)

Spliced in downstream O2 sensor pigtail I got from Matt (huge thanks again to Matt) to replace the butchered wiring the PO left me (said he couldn't figure out why the CEL was on...)... And in the process of ops checking to see if the splice in was good, thought my battery was dead... only to figure out the NSS is in need of a cleaning.. so guess I'll be pulling that tomorrow if the weather stays warmish.. Hoping now that the CEL is clear I'll be able to get her registered and on the road in the next couple days...

Called my insurance company and the cops because somebody decided to do a hit and run on old Red in the parking lot of the hospital. Did quite extensive damage to my driver's door rear section and driver side passenger door, the whole damn thing. No paint transfer, tells me it was a piece of crap plastic vehicle. Secondly, to hit where it did, it had to have been a SUV, minivan, or light duty truck. Unfortunately because of the no paint transfer, they can't do anything, but jokes on that guy cause now I get a brand new paint job, doors, and everything in the doors so HA! Full coverage rocks. Now nobody can bitch that full coverage is for "newer cars" cause it just saved me a crap ton of money.

Unfortunately, the cam was facing my car but...40 feet short so it can't see my vehicle or anywhere near it for that matter. The police can't do much but take a report. Insurance says because I pay for full coverage and for uninsured motorist, a hit and run is considered uninsured motorist so my deductible may be smaller than my collision. We'll see.

Just ordered a new fan shroud and drivers side master window switch panel... Hoping between having a fan shroud and doing a flush it'll help with the slow overheat that the 97 seems to have, or at least seem to have the day I went to register it... And hoping the new switch panel will take care of the drivers side window that doesn't want to work.. Every other window works, well at least from the drivers panel, except the drivers.. The PO said he replaced the motor thinking that was it, but didn't make a difference, so will replace the panel and if noting else that should take care of the other positions not working due to the usual lock switch solder issue (I'm sure)... if that don't work for the drivers window, then I'll order a new motor w/ regulator... and if that don't work... then I'll be completely lost, as the only other part to replace would the wiring between the switch panel and the motor.. But yeah, hoping the fan shroud and a good flush will help her stay cooler so I can run her through inspection again and hopefully get it registered this time around...

Today was the coldest day this season, so I went out and changed my thermostat in the parking lot. Bundled up enough to not be that cold, and now I have heat again.

Actually, I changed it twice. First time I realized I didn't have any rtv so I chanced it with just a gasket. It didn't seal, so I had to go buy some rtv and re-do it.

Sort of, its gonna be a prerunner bar. Its more of a fabrication project than anything, plus change up the look of the jeep a little. Did get some more done today. Although the welding went horribly, I think the galvanizing was messing with it even though I ground it off.

Well, not a lot today. I seem to have too much on the schedule already so I am gonna have to slow down with the bumper project for now and maybe get a little done in spare time. I did get the bumper mounted back up and wired in a efan wiring connector from a '97+ xj for the led bar on the bumper so I can get the bumper off in the future.

Removed the little 5mph bumpers the other day and with newly drilled holes I stuck some bolts in the holes for now.

unknowingly welded galvanized once. was sicker than a dog. it gets into your blood. kinda like mercury poisoning, if you drink a glass of milk it really helps.
i usualy wear a respirator when i grind off teh galvanized coating. then use a fan when welding it.

-Replaced the upstream O2 sensor, now with two new O2 sensors it idles much better
-and did some grinding on the Detours backbone bumper system because the front sway bar was hitting it and making a clunking noise on the front end.

Will hopefully be home here in a few hours and hopefully get to install said shroud.. Once I get it, see what quality it is, make sure it is even the right part as they told me it was, and the fitment is good I'll share all that info.. Really hoping it is all good, as I want her to run cool when stopped and def want to be able to get her through inspection...

Didn't do anything to my Jeep today... well yesterday now current location time.. as I am still out of the state away from her.. Hoping to be @ home here in about 12hrs and installing the drivers side door master switch panel I ordered and the new fan shroud to replace the current ghost model I have in my 97... Hoping this will fix the my current drivers side window that won't roll down, and the overheating while sitting issue.. Once these two issues are resolved hopefully I can move on with ordering other parts I want to install and upgrade, like taking care of the negatively arched springs...

Well got a little bit of time to work on the XJ today... Pulled the drivers door panel, and hooked up the new master switch panel, and all the windows now roll down at each switch due to the new/working lock switch... drivers side window still won't roll down (which was my main reason for ordering a new switch panel)... guess I'll check the wiring tomorrow and see if there is a fuse for the drivers window only... and if that all looks good, go spend $100+ on a new motor/regulator for it... hopefully that'll fix the issue... Hoping the weather will be decent enough for me to install the fan shroud as well...

my cargo area floor panel was rusted and having palm size opening near to fuel filler. Processed rust for few days with 1) brake fluid & 2) coke, then clean well with steel brush and wire wheel. Then painted it primer for metal (can't find thing like POR-15) + 3 layers of paint. Cut a 2mm sheet metal, made a new floor with raised areas around wheel well. Put a reasonable amount of silicone seal on old floor around the opening, at rust point, holes, dropped area etc and put a floor sheet on top it and bolted down to uniframe by 12mm bolts. Sealed the perimeter and result:

Having changed up to 31" rubber from 29s, I now don't have a usable spare (still a 29") I'm also not able to change a wheel, so I carry a 'spare in a can' that requires the pressure to be topped up after around 20miles. So, EBAY was hit and some hunting took place. This was the result.

Basically what I was going to do, and probably still will when I drop the hammer on the lights is to have a center light bar straight ahead. The spread on these is 30°. I would have to pay with the overlap, but then say have a 10" angled on either side which should get me at about a good 60 spread and then some 4" on the side to get to 90°. I have been in situations driving switchbacks at night and cannot see around the corner etc.

There's always the option of a 40 or 50" curved bar. They where expensive when they first hit. A few months back prices went into a bit of free fall, the result being, curved bars are pretty much on a par with straights. :)

You could combine the 30" and the two 10" and get a curved 40"/42" combo and get the same coverage. The spot beam is 30° and the flood will get you to 60°. Then do the 4"s on the side. Not sure if you would want that, or all spot, but something to consider.

i put a bunch of these in the instrument cluster
http://www.ebay.com/itm/360975710313
bought 10x cheap led bulbs.
but only used 5 or 6.
they all work. once i had them all turned to right polarity.
easy too. plug in cluster pull headlight switch. see whats lit up. 3 were backwards. took back out. turned around bam. all light up. ,.
not to be a ricer but switched turned all the way up i still could barely read cluster. and 1 or 2 bulbs would even light up before. try to get my jeep to have all LEDs.
so less use of eletricity. then down the road get another alt and battery setup. unlimited supply of power with solar trickle...kinda.
but no unlimited supply of fuel.................unless desiel swap to modern cummins, downgrade to mechanical operation. configure for veggie oil.......hmmmmmmmmmmm

Nothing wrong with going LED... I love running LED's in my vehicles cause they work nicely, they draw less power then standard bulbs... and you can def see better with their light.. I run as many LED's as I can in my vehicles, up until pulling stuff apart and soldering them in.. Any that I can fairly easily just swap out in my vehicles I usually do.. wish I had pulled the LED's I had in my 98 under the dash out.. They lit the interior up fairly nicely on their own..

Finally got the first coats of bedliner on the front bumper... Only the backside and top portion thus far... But already looking good... Will be putting one more coat on it here in about 30 mins, then let it set while I am out on mission starting Monday... Then when I get back it should be ready to flip and cover the rest of the bumper... Once I get the XJ registered and in my name, I'll start installing the H4 headlight upgrade and the bumper... Can't wait to get the bumper on... Might have to pick myself up a 12k Badlands winch from HF while they are still on sale for the new bumper... then order up some synthetic rope for it with the saved money...

Started to rebuild the front driveshaft. Been having some bad vibrations from it. And the famous tweety bird chirps. The ball kit came in today. With the driveshaft off, El-jeepo rolls as smooth as glass. Minus the tire rumbling.

Very sorry to hear that Justin. Hope things pick up and you'll be in my prayers.

Thanks brother. It's much appreciated. On the upstroke, I've been offered 2 lifts for the XJ for free. One is a 2" BB with either coils or spacers (can't remember which) and blocks in the rear (if I go with this one, I'll bastard pack the rear), and the other one is a 3.5" full leaf/coil which includes shocks and trac bar. I know the guy w/ the BB will follow through, don't know the guy offering the 3.5" all that well, so hopefully he will. If not, either way I'm gettin' lifted soon.

The guy that's offering the BB lift also has a working 4wd AW4 that he's gonna give me 'cause he's converting to 5spd. Really good guy, glad I can call him friend.

I know this build will happen. I just need to get my priorities in line first... if I would have done that before hand, it would have been built by now... live n' learn.

my cargo area floor panel was rusted and having palm size opening near to fuel filler.

Underside is not processed, due to full tank of fuel on that day :D. Will inspect and repair if necessary when spring arrives.

Hmm..... I'll have to consider this as another option for my rear floor. What I'd LIKE to do is cut the whole thing out and weld in diamond plate.... but my welding skills are still limited and I only have the flux welder so I'm hesitant to do that 'cause I don't wanna blow through the stock sheet metal trying to weld something thicker to it. We shall see.

Worked on the prerunner bar a little, just cleaning off every bit of galvanizing I could. And looked at the latest keep from the junkyard. Got a '96 booster/master cylinder, '00 ebrake handle, '98 mountaineer ebrake cables to try to fit with the zj discs but doesn't look good, grabbed a '00 center console since it was clean and may need it to fit the newer ebrake handle, a couple of overhead consoles to try out, 703 injectors, '97+ switch panel mainly just to play with, and a couple little things. All half off for thanksgiving weekend. :bacondance:

Never saw an older one before.

Wrenched my knee pretty good trying to pull the ebrake stuff. Not sure but it really felt like I dislocated it. Extended it and popped back. Still giving me some feedback though.

Jim, those libertys were gone. Just the same I was running horribly late and didn't get out of there till 30 minutes after closing. :p

It's all good bro. Cash is really tied up now. I'm waiting on some roofers to take $1200 of my money this morning to fix a leak I found during the rain last weekend :(

Take care of that knee bro... the older you get, the longer it takes to heal! I'm learning this the hard way! My thumb still isn't 100% since I wrenched the lateral ligament last year, and now my elbow is still giving me crap from the move a couple weeks ago!

Ouch! And of course it probably wasn't found in the inspection. But they are suppose to be having another half off weekend for new years if you wanna try then. Don't know if you're gonna be busy though.

Yeah, I seem to be acquiring that knowledge slowly. :D It IS getting better though. Today is a big improvement, but the back isn't feeling too good too. Sorry to hear that. Elbows are one of those fragile things, at least for me. Doesn't take much to get em angry.

Thanks bro. Actually the hole wasn't there when I had the inspection done. The people that repaired the siding before we moved in walked on that part of the roof and caused the hole. But because the decking was that soft and in need of repair anyways, it's not even worth contacting the siding repair company.

Sucky part is that it started raining about 20 minutes after the guy got here, so repair rescheduled for tomorrow morning.

Removing busted bokt fron upper thermo housing installing grade 10.9 with anti seize for new bolts. Picked up a 180 thermo from mr gasket. Special design for high rpm motors thus not pulling more then 3k rpms it should never fail under normal use. Gonna chase a majot coolant leak if this busted bolt doesnt do the fix.

Obviously ill know more once its apart but the leak is bothering me. Only seepage i can physically see is on top of the water pump and directly above that is the thermo with only 1 bolt and a butt ton of rtv holding it on.
The leak runs down the oil pan flange to the bellhousing basically all under the jeep. No hoses or freeze plugs are suspect as they are bone dry

WhiteDevil1311

Snapped off recessed into thermo housing but the douche crossed it from start to finish. The housing spun around on the "bolt turned stud". Had to remove belt and idler pulley and looks like rad and core support UNLESS i can jack the motor up and just deal with the motor mounts. It snapped clean at the head while i was trying to get the housing off via "unthreading" off the busted bolt. I got it drilled out mostly its a mess gonna weld in fill and redo the hole entirely. Helicoils arent my friend sadly.
