I cleaned the garage around the Jeep to make it easier to park. XD Does that count?

Nothing major but since I just bought it I am slowly replacing fluids and things from the previous owner...so after flushing cooling system last weekend, today I put a can of sea foam in the gas and a new air filter in. Seemed to make a little difference. Nothing huge but after about ten miles with the sea foam and replacing that filter it runs just a hair smoother now. Tomorrow is replacing the Oil Pressure Sender:beer:http://www.xjtalk.com/images/smilies/beer.gif

Need your thoughts...I want to take the door trim off the side of my jeep. I have seen people use a special wheel on their drill to get the old adhesive off. I dont want to buy a wheel. I am curious if you guys think Goof off would work fine. Or do you think it would gnarl up the paint as well?

I saw a youtube vid on this. Looked good to me what they did. You might try searching it for badge removal or trim removal.

Replaced the cam sensor and realized my distributor was a notch off. Jeep runs smooth as butter!!! For the first time since buying it, it drove down the road today with absolutely no problems! Now that it runs solid the time has come to start really dumping money into it haha

Now have the issue of the right turn signal working fine, but when I turn the left one on, both turn signals flash. Guessing I have a ground off somewhere.

Also realized the ride was a bit off when going down the road. When I got home I checked the tires and realized I had 3 different sized ones on the Jeep. Was too excited when I bought it to check the tires too carefully. Called around to the tire shops here and no one had a set of used 15" tires. Was hoping to not have to buy new tires as I'll have to turn around and buy new tires after I lift. :(

had to phone a friend. I've wasted 3 months trying to diagnose my electrical probs myself. I've missed several local club events and cussed at it so much I had to go in for confession. My wife thinks I'm a nut cause she heard me talking about wiring diagrams in my sleep. And I've got a pesky rash on my ballsack. Maybe that last bit was too much info.... I need sleep.

Speaking from experience, it's probably easier just easier to use the wheel: http://teamcherokee.com/smart-eraser-pad/

15 bucks ain't bad for it either.... don't know if you already have the goof off but I know it's some nasty stuff.

Did a couple things. I did take the door trim off and it looks great! I also put a new oil pressure sensor in. I am confused now though. Before when it was cold the gauge would max out. Once up to temp I could turn engine off then back on and it would read properly. I put new sensor in and it made out period. I know they have separate senders for idiot light vs gauge. Called to verify I received the gauge one and they confirmed it. It was also identical to the one that came out. Any thoughts. Standard 4.0 L6 2000 with 195000 miles

I use this. Have used it on every vehicle i have de-badged. New and old. Works great and doesnt hurt the paint at all. http://www.azautobodysupply.com/3m89adrequsi.html?utm_source=googlepepla&utm_medium=adwords&id=18283950120

Certain parts (like the oil pressure sensor) have different resistances which determine how 'much' pressure you have. When I got my radiator replaced, the new temp sensor was a tad too much resistance and thus tells me my engine temp is around 240 when it is in fact at 210 (operating temp). Perfectly fine, annoying but fine. I can tell that anywhere between the red and edge of red is TOO hot. Point is, it may have been the correct part but too much resistance so it says your oil pressure is higher than normal. Check resistance with a DVOM and you'll figure it out.

Already shopping pieces. This is the calm before the storm. Going to try to buy 1 piece each check and space it out so I never feel I'm hitting the check book too hard at once.

Next is new tail light housings, and the pieces to buy my roof racks. Then bumpers with front and rear hitch mounts for my hitch mounted winch plate. :)

And to make things "interesting" (as my Jeep always does)
I have a cotter pin in one of the ball joints thats broken off and seized in.
http://i1104.photobucket.com/albums/h328/jbchill1/IMG_3898.jpg (http://s1104.photobucket.com/user/jbchill1/media/IMG_3898.jpg.html)

After more than two months away from my jeep i saw the opportunity to go see it. The battery was dead, probably due to my alarm. And its cover had a few layers of pollen but once i jumped it the ol girl fired right up and purred. After some warm up i took it out and had a few issues. The rear brakes have gotten even worse with a new clunk with pressing the pedal, plus some pulsating felt in the brake pedal under light pressure. So i think its off street duty till i swap on the zj discs.

But the main reason i wanted to see it today... it is the 10th anniversary of buying it. On 4-8-2004 i bought it for my 16th birthday to be my first car. And as a celebratory gift for it i have decided to buy a LED lightbar for the roof, a big one! :D

The first pics i took of it.

Side Note: Yesterday I replaced my oil filler cap because the old one was leaking oil and now that it's new I realize why. Not sure. The kid I got these off of bought them at a military auction. He said he for them super cheap, the price tag on one of the boxes said they were 23k a pop. I know he didn't pay that for them.

He though wants to trade me an 03 VW Golf TDI and an 85 CJ10 for my XJ and my 77 Custom 20 tow rig. Was thinking of using those axles on the CJ10. Told him to give me a week to think about it.

He had bought a bunch of stuff to fix up an XJ he had, then traded it before he started working on it. He makes his living buying/selling cars and trucks on Craigslist and has a bit of everything at his place. Was surprised to see that CJ10. Kind of hard to pass it up.

I replaced my rear power window doors with some no-power hand crank window doors on my 97 Cherokee. I had to drill the lower door hinge bolt out on each side. otherwise, it was a pretty simple job. I replaced the funky torx bolts with some standard hex head 8.125 mm bolts. everything fit great. Getting the new doors aligned took about 20 minutes per door. Next I will be replacing the front doors. Hope to have my dana44 rear axle fully built by the end of May. Then I have to decide what to do about my front axle.

Well, the day started with me planning to take off my flares and bumper end caps and freshen them up a bit with some spray bedliner. While I was at it I figured I would also start planning out how I would eventually trim the fenders. When removing the flares, I broke quite a few of the studs that hold the flares on and one thing sorta led to another and I decided to just bite the bullet and get to work cutting up my fenders. Got the front fenders all trimmed up, and the back all laid out how I will cut them tomorrow after work. All in all I'm pretty happy with how they turned out. I plan on painting the area around the fender openings with the aforementioned rattle can bedliner and covering the edge with some sort of thin rubber edging (not sure what to call it or where to buy it but I have a picture in my mind what it looks like). I also got my Hidden Wounds XJ sticker and a few others put on my Jeep.

Here's some pics (I apologize for the poor quality)

NEW SHOOOOES!

The 30's fit really well and I have no rubbing. Realized when I took the old off and out the new on that my rear shocks are shit and the leaf springs have those sweet S curves in them that let you know they are heavy duty.

Was going to so bumpers next, but I need to focus on the frame, shocks, leaf springs, now ridiculous loud squealing when I turn the XJ on when it is cold, left turn signal activating 4-way flashers rather than just left turn signal, interior dome lights, leaking side plug on oil pan, dim dash lights, speaker situation, non-working rear driver side window. Le sigh...more parts broke than working, it's a Jeep thing :p

Pics or it didn't happen.

Received and installed my sub!!!

http://i942.photobucket.com/albums/ad261/OffRoadJunkie_photos/My%20XJ/IMG_20140414_182951.jpg

So far I have the sub installed, built-in amp powered, and a couple settings adjusted. It's not broken in yet, but so far it produces nice, clean, solid bass. It doesn't shake my jeep (so far), but I have achived my goal of having full sounding bass again.

Now all that's left to do is:
- Run & hookup the remote wire
- Mount & hookup the remote.
- Zip tie & secure loose wires.
- Securely mount the sub (included mounting strap are too small).
- Fully adjust the headunit & amp settings
- Reinstall my interior panels.

I'll take pics of the wiring, mounting location, and that other good stuff y'all enjoy seeing, before I finish reassembling my interior.

Tightened the oil drain plugs to stop a slow leak. Started it a few times to see if the squeal was still there when starting. Not sure if it is the tensioner pulley or weather causing it to be intermittent. Also, kicked the tires just to be sure. Maybe someday soon I'll get around to getting plates for it so it can be legal when I drive it around.

Apparently the cop who pulls me over almost everyday to tell me to get plates says it is bad enough I've been driving without a license for 5 years, I'd be safer with plates. Rural sheriff deputies are good people haha

20140414 - Got the Jeep moved down to a storage unit close to where I live so I can actually get to it and work on it... Installed new vacuum line harness & attempted to install new O2 sensor, but apparently the harness has gone MIA... I am hoping someone might be able to shed some light as to where the other end of the harness goes, so maybe I can start at that point and backtrace it to the end I need to plug in my O2 sensor...

20140416 - Just got home from a mission, so after getting home and changing I went and grabbed some dinner, and made a stop in by the storage unit to do a few quick things to it before heading to bed.. I pulled the grommet that is on the passenger side of the TB on the 14th, and today I took some of the old plastic type vacuum lines that were from the old vacuum harness that I replaced on the 14th, and ran it from the grommet to the MAP sensor, and then drove it around the storage complex... It def seems to be running far better then it was last time I drove it on the 14th.. And I didn't feel like I might die of carbon monoxide poisoning in the first minute of it running in the storage unit like it was before... I know it'll run even smoother and better once I get the O2 sensor installed once I finally find the harness...

That's actually the same noise my Jeep makes going down the road :p well off to figure out this vacuum leak.

Heat and A/C come through the vents fine, cruise works alright, all my vacuum hoses seem good and are connected solid. Noise goes away when accelerating and returns once RPMs flatten out.

Been trying to get the track bar off and get the new one on...all day!

First I needed to get a impact gun, so went to harbor freight picked one up and some impact sockets. Came home, started the compressor, and it ran for about 5 mins then it decided it hated life and commenced to self-destruct...

Back to Harbor Freight I go, thankfully the wife let me get one :D Plus they were on sale.

So got back got everything put together to get to the bolts. Took them off and the bracket in like 2mins. I LOVE impacts now and wonder why it took me so long to get one, *facepalm*

Then putting on the new one, noticed that I would have to drill out the axle side bracket out...doh dont have a drill bit big enough...

Oh and found that my front shock is completely blown...Now to buy some shocks.

Bought a new wire wheel for my drill and a couple cans of Rustoleum rust converter and Rustoleum Berliner to clean up my frame.

Also hit up Menards and grabbed the stuff I need to make my own roof rack. I still need to find somewhere that makes a heavy duty wire mesh type sheet so I can use it as a floor for the rack. Also need to figure out how to mount it. Worked on it for an hour and have everything measured, cut, and ready to put together. Did get the bottom part finished.

http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/04/20/he3etymu.jpg

Did have to take a break to cook some food. Someone on here I think, can't remember who, posted up a hamburger recipe awhile back that I decided to try out and it was absolutely amazing.

Will wake up at the crack of dawn to finish my rack before meeting the family for lunch.

For the last 8 months I have had no front speakers and I couldn't figure out why. I figured that the stock speakers got too old and died so I left it alone but when I bought new ones and installed them, they still didn't work. So I open the radio panel and whadya know? The front right and front left speaker connections had come apart (I had used electrical tape a few years back). It had slid off so I got some butt connectors and connected them together and it works again. Sounds way better too lol. Last time I ever use electrical tape as a permafix hahaha.

Alright so more updating the parts on my XJ. Today I noticed that my transmission kept having trouble shifting and I was using a LOT and I mean a LOT of gas just to go very small distances. We're talking less than 100 miles on a 1/4 tank and she gets almost 20 MPG. Anyways, I'm dreading a tranny job so I do some research into the parts on Red. Turns out my TPS could very well be the culprit and according to Occam's Razor theory, the more simple answer is the TPS is bad rather than the whole transmission. Apparently, if your TPS aka Throttle Position Sensor is bad, the shift points are irregular, the gas consumption skyrockets, your idle is higher than normal, and you have to slam the gas to move (usually caused by small 'dead spots' in the TPS). Well being that it was the original 20 y/o TPS I replaced it and BOOM. Instantly runs better. The idle is smooth, the pedal doesn't need to be pushed so hard to get going and I can hold a speed or go up a hill without Red screaming and roaring just to go 5MPH faster up an incline. Now she holds steady going up a hill at about 1,200RPM's at 45MPH instead of going up an incline at 65MPH at 3,000-4,000RPM's. Definitely going to extend the life of the engine.

Also, greased up her fittings (please, no 'going in dry jokes' ok lol) and she doesn't make very much sound now. No more clanking, clunking, etc. It took 8 grease gun pumps just to puff the driveline grease fitting a little bit.

Last thing I did, replaced the rear axle gear oil in the diff. OMG. You can't imagine how smooth of a ride she is now. It's like riding on a -expletive- cloud. She hasn't been this smooth in a long time. It made so much difference that I actually clipped my tree making a U-turn into my apartment parking stall lol. Badge of honor for her.

Spent about 2 hours trying to get my stock roof rack supports off. Ended up having to pretty much rip them apart. Unfortunately I broke two nubs off the button for one. Hopefully I can find a new button in a PnP if I ever decide to use them again.

Also got my supports made up today while at work. Wish I would have went with higher than 4" though. May have to make new supports, or add another row on it. Just waiting for someone to come over so I can rope them into helping me screw them on, then I can take it to work and weld it all together.

My idea at first was to do the 4 bows as well, but I didn't want the added height and the curve wouldn't work out with it being up higher than the expanded metal floor when I install that. I think mounting it to the roof racks themselves will not only bring the basket lower for a better center of gravity. Also will work better with the floor I install, and I feel I'll get a better mounting if I connect it straight to the racks.

bluedragon436
04-21-2014, 07:15 PM
yeah, I don't plan on running the basket too often anyways.. but yeah I think I'll either find a way to mount it to the rack track using either another type of bracing, or I'll figure out a way to mount it to the channels on the side of the XJ roof... which will bring it even lower height

Rocco83
04-21-2014, 07:27 PM
I'm going for the channels. I think I'm going to leave mine on all the time as it is where I'm putting my spare. My commute each day is a round trip of 8 miles. I don't think having a big rack up there will kill my gas mileage for that commute. Can't retire the Commander as the grocery getter so the XJ will be relegated only to work and back until it is built enough to wheel.

Tried to get it titled so I could slap some plates on it to be legal and all. Realized too late the previous owner had just slapped an inaccurate mileage on it. Now I have to chase him down and have him retitle it in his name with the correct mileage. Then I have to have him transfer to me again.

Don't understand why people can't just do things the correct way the first time. Half assing things is a waste of time when they have to be fixed later. I guess people just expect others to do the work so they don't have to.

Titling laws must be different up there. Here in Florida, once a vehicle is 10yo, the mileage on the title becomes exempt and they don't check that stuff anymore. Sorry you have to go through all that BS just to make your Jeep legal.

And they wonder why people don't always follow the rules...

Just got home from work and I'm about to get started on fixing my lights. The crazy ice storm we had up here this winter took its toll on them! I contacted bob from snappy lights on ebay. Hes a real nice guy he sent me 5 new housings for 35 bucks shipped. So I'm fixing them tonight and I have to do a bit of wiring work in the cab and go grab an o2 sensor. My birthday is saturday and I need an emissions test before I get my sticker renewed. 5 more years and my jeep will be old enough I won't have to have it tested any more! But the irony is I may very well be in socal by then lol! 5195

They are pricks about it up here. I can somewhat understand with stolen vehicles and whatnot, but to have a title that is signed over and motorized you would think it should be ok. Guy told me the title he had xfered over said 270k as well so we'll find out tomorrow morning how much of an issue it is going to be. My dad took off a day of work to get over there and try to hash it out with the guy. I can't take any personal days yet and would like to get it resolved ASAP.

Is that a custom-mount dash fan to cool your stereo?

Not today, but recently - got rid of the crappy walmart battery. Got a Duralast Gold from Autozone - group 34. Fit's like a glove and now when I start the jeep, it sounds like the starter is going to take off into outter space.

Also pulled a wrangler on 33's out of the mud. Had to do quite a few snatches to get him out, he was buried axle-deep and they ketp plowing every time I pulled. He thought I wasn't going to be able to do it, but I showed him what a 2wd open jeep could do - that's for sure!

Picked up the 31s Thursday evening, unusual to see Cherokee modulars with round holes rather than 'D' slot mods. Friday I took a trip to the local tyre shop and handed over some beer tokens in exchange for fitting and balancing. I've 30mm spacers fitted, and there's a bit of offset on the rims, upshot is I'm showing a bit more rubber than before. :)
The 31s mean I have to sort the tired lift out now.

They keep the worst off the screen where they're fitted, and I didn't have the bull bar fitted at the time. I saved a fortune as I took a trip to the local DIY outlet and bought some galvanised steel wire, fence tensioners, and U bolt wire clamps, then made them up to suit. The only downside is you have to loosen and remove from the front clips to open the hood. :)

I feel like they're all better now lol also replaced my headlights with 2x brighter stocks and they have gotten people so pissed because they look like high beams (even though they are aimed correctly) that they flip me off and I'm like "You want high beams? Here! Have some random instant daylight!" and pump the high beams at them and they turn down a side road real quick cause they know they just got punked.

So I haven't done anything with the Jeep but I had a friend check it out because my wife said it wouldn't start. My buddy is a great mechanic and has diagnosed it as a bad coil or crank position sensor. It's been sitting in the garage on a trickle charger for a few months while I've been overseas. All I know right now is that it doesn't start.

Got up a 7 am to get an early start. I had an appointment to get the front door windows tinted to match the rest. Only took them 40 minutes and it looks great. After that I stopped at one of those 10 minute oil change places and had them do a oil change and coolant flush. I was home by 11 so I decided to wipe it down and hit it with a coat of spray wax and some tire shine. Next up a lunch trip to Taco Bell for my burrito Wednesday in the XJ of course.

After lunch I decided to tackle the job I have been putting off for a week. Every couple of years I crawl under the Jeep with a wire brush or a grinding wheel attached to my drill and get all the peeling undercoat, paint, dirt and mud off. After that I hit the 25 cent car wash and pressure wash everything. Well I did all that last Thursday so today I crawled back under with three cans of semi gloss black rustoliumn paint. It's a dirty job that I hate but, a 15 year old Jeep that sits out in the elements 365 days a year and still not a spot of rust. So next thing I know it's 5 pm and I am covered head to toe in dirt and paint. After a long shower and dinner there was one more thing to do. The top dash panel on the passenger side has been popped up for a while so I decided try and secure it. Wrapped a small piece of Teflon tape around the prong and hit the top of the panel and now it's fixed. Tomorrow I make an appointment for a new headliner. Here are a couple driveway pics of the tint.

Started out to get a $20 AC freon pump down and refill, ended up with $150 bill for freon pump down, refill, and new fan assembly as old one was dead in the water. Now my battery is dying, still have water leaks in interior, and the brakes are down to warning tabs. Sigh. J.e.e.p just empty every pocket! ;)

That's exactly what my lovely wife said! I was complaining that the "to fix" list seemed endless and dynamic she asked me how many miles it had on it. I replied 153k and she said matter of factly. What'd you expect? Wise woman that one. Lol. So I ordered more parts to add to my stockpile and am beginning to get a real feel for where I'm at with it. Still thousands cheaper than new, and Chip Foose won't "Overhaul" anything this new so I'm on my own. :). Well...and I have you all to guide me and offer pep talks now again. I also read between the lines if what SHE said and I figure it means it's okay to spend even MORE money fixing up the Heep so it's all good!!!

Just finished applying this http://www.armorall.com/products/outlast-trim-plastic-restorer/ to the bumper caps, roof rack, tire carrier, tail light guards, door handles and the rock rails. It looks good, not to glossy and no greasy film. Of course the real test will be the first good rain which will be Tuesday or Wednesday that's when most of these products fail. It's got a Jeep on the box it's gotta work, right?

I cleaned my shop...

Its a pretty big shop and I made a big mess installing a lift, 2 differentials, a winch, a class 3 hitch and a pair of rocker sliders over the past few weekends. Before that, I build a couple of AK47s which turned out to be a big machining project that made quite a mess. I never cleaned up from that before I started on the Jeep diffs  In between, the pass side power window motor on my wife's '90 Bronco quit and I pulled the door panel apart to replace it. Also, her PT Cruiser needed a new clutch slave cylinder and a tune up.

The mess and clutter in my shop was unbelievable and unbearable! I just spent 2 twelve hour days cleaning and organizing and its still not completely done... I guess I know what I'll be doing next weekend :sad0147:

Yeah the NSS is my next item to pull of and tear down/clean and put back in... I have tried the jiggle the handle trick, that I've seen on many spots online that usually helps make it work for a little bit... and that hasn't made any difference and never got lucky enough if that is in fact the issue to make it work.. but my plan as soon as I can to pull it off and clean it up and see if it doesn't help.. but I would think if the NSS is the issue, I would still at least get power to the inside of the Jeep, just no starting.. but I could be wrong on that..

If you're not getting any power to the Jeep at all then check/ replace those thick battery cables. Corrosion has a way (over time) of wicking up into the strands of copper that make up those heavy battery cables. I've seen them look perfectly good but conduct the battery juice only intermittently.

The LEDs are aligned perfectly and hopefully i get full vision back. Took it outside last night and tested the output. Quite nice, especially considering it costs less than a more expensive set of traditional halogen off road lights. I'll definitely be waiting impatiently till i can mount it and compare to the rest of my lights. Although, i gotta deal with my brakes first and to do so some parts have to be ordered. A new headliner and matching sun visors. My original one started to separate last summer around the windshield and right above the front doors. The rest still looked good but, 14 years for a factory headliner is a good run. The new one is slightly darker so they did the sun visors free.

In a previous post I mentioned that I had applied Armor All's Outlast Trim Restorer to bumper caps, door handles and the roof rack. It has been through a couple decent rains and so far I am impressed. With most of the restorers I have used in the past rain will usually spot or leave run marks. So far I see no sign of that.

Monday she goes in for an oil change, radiator flush and to see why she squeals like a stuck pig when I turn on the heat or AC.

Well,

I got up early to clean the throttle body bore, throttle butterfly and IAC valve on my 2004 KJ before work. I'm going to be busy this weekend so I wanted to get this done ahead of time. I removed the intake and sprayed some throttle body cleaner around in there. I have a little bottle brush that is perfect for cleaning stuff like this.

I twisted open the throttle butterfly and started to brush around the bore to loosen the dirt. Just then, the brush slipped from my fingers, slid down the bore and tumbled deep into the engine... On the 3.7 liter, the intake manifold turns 90 degrees straight down at the rear of the engine and then turns 90 degrees again to split out to the 6 intake ports in the 2 heads.

After an hour of the frustration of removing the throttle body and trying to fish a flexible grabber tool down there, I finally hit on the idea that worked to retrieve the brush. A powerful magnet tied to a string and dropped down into the engine worked like a charm.

I'm back on the road and she's idling smooth as silk!

After seeing several posts on cleaning the throttle body being a Good Idea(tm), I decided to give it a go on this glorious mid-70's day we're having.

Wow.

Just...wow.

If you haven't cleaned your throttle body yet, do it ASAP.

When I pulled mine, the first thing I noticed was it didn't look "too bad". It looked like slightly dingy alluminum with a little bit of a black ring around the butterfly valve.

After a quick spray of throttle body cleaner and liberal use of a toothbrush, spray again and a towel for good measure...I realized the interior has an almost mirror finish...

So then I pulled the sensor, what's it called? The ISS or something like that? Wow...it was black...the whole thing, top to bottom. After some serious cleaning I realized it has a brass tip, and the shaft is supposed to feel like smooth plastic, not like tar!

A thorough cleaning of the sensor's housing in the throttle body and that was soon the color of aluminum instead of the soot black color it was when I first looked in there...

Now, for the performance part? It fired up after a 1.5 second crank. Originally I was getting ol' Butchie to fire up after about a 5 second crank. BIG difference. I also noticed the cold idle was up a bit higher than normal. He was usually running just under 1k, maybe in the low 900's...now? Around 1,100rpms for cold idle!!!

So then I decided to take him out for a spin...went down a back road I've driven a thousand times before and cranked it open (like I've done a thousand times before)...normally, Butchie would hit about 45mph before I'd have to start slowing down for a wicked curve. This time, I was laying on brakes because we hit 55mph halfway down the road!!!

Throttle response made my jeep feel like it was a performance car, not a big beast with a ton of gear in it. I now fully understand why there's no need to throw a V-8 into a Jeep when you have a 4.0L-HO engine...these things can really move!

Long story short - It feels like I have a new Jeep, all for the cost of some throttle body cleaner and a little bit of elbow grease. I know my fuel economy is going to shoot up 1-2mpg too - if I can keep my foot off the accelerator!

Cheers!

Found out that I need a new battery in the Jeep too. This one only lasted about a year and a half I think. Luckily, it's under warranty still.

Also have a line on some rock sliders for $100. Couldn't pass the deal up, so hopefully will have those in my possession by next weekend

You might want to check the alternator if the battery's not making it - especially with the juice it takes to run subs.

You might want to check the alternator if the battery's not making it - especially with the juice it takes to run subs.

Alternator is good. The jeep has just been sitting since before Christmas, and quite a while before that. I've started it up and let it run several times and I had to jump it last time (about 2 weeks ago) and this time it was completely dead. Battery wouldn't even charge after I ran it for 20 minutes or so. I will double check the terminal connections, but pretty sure the battery is bad. I've had one last me 8 months before, but with that warranty that O'Reilly's has, I should get a new one free.

On the road to work got a loud bang around @30mph when hitting hole on the road. No acceleration after that, rolled further and kicked to 4x4 part time, drove to next exit ~250m, left there. Called a friend and met afternoon, checked. Long story short, cross shaft and pin bolt was broken there.
