I was in my friend's XJ the other day and noticed that his air controls lit up. His is a '90 and mine is a '95.
Is my light just burnt out?
If so, how easy is it to remove the panel to replace it?

There are two light bulbs in it. You have to pull the bezel and then the control to replace them.
230 hp 4.3L Chevy
Built 4L60E with manual lockout
Atlas 4 speed
Griffin radiator
On board air
Warn 9.5ti on custom bumper
7.5" RE front and bastard pack rear on custom long arms
30 gal gas tank
lockers
And a bunch of other stuff
when doing this be very careful to not snap one of the groves off the thing the light mounts in. try to take out the whole control modular then the light just twists out.
01, Tera Flex 6" long arm kit, jks quick disco's,jks bar pin eliminators, Fox 2.0 shocks I won for 5 bucks, Tom woods Sye with rear drive shaft, Tera flex rear disc brakes, custom front bumper, customer rear bumper, rage roof rack. I took the bezel off (a real pita...) and took the screws out for the AC unit but couldn't find out how to disconnect it to get to the lights. I finally just gave up after about an hour and a half of messing with it.
It's not that big of a deal I guess, just annoying at night to not be able to see my air controls that well.
All my xjs have had the same problem... I may try to investigate this weekend, if I successfully replace the bulbs I'll try to post pics or a video of how to do it.
