I did it! I'm stoked! It's like driving a Cadillac compared to what it was. The only downside now is I can feel the road in my feet ha ha I feel like Fred Flintstone the way things rattle now with my meaty tires.. Those busted out bushings were masking a lot of things. But now it drives so smooth. I hit every pot hole I could see and took it up to 65. Then hit some train tracks. I'm like a little kid.
On the oil. I went with a 10w-30 and a ZDDP additive. My oil was VERY clean and I ran a magnet through it to find nothing. I really hope it lasts me this time.

Well. Made it back from Moab. Everything ran excellent. Only issue I had was my starter wire loosened up and did the click click route. Tightened everything up and no more issues. Very happy with how it performed. The compressor was also impressive. I went from 15 to 34 psi in all 4 in about 20 min. Excellent purchase.

You bet. I'm glad she made it. Still running good, tho my registration is up now. I need to do a clock spring and fix my check engine light. (Doesn't illuminate)
Also, any of you guys know your timing degrees? At idle I'm at 12-13.. According to my obd2 app. I notice it's quite shaky at idle. I lined up the cam position sensor according to a YouTube video. It runs really smooth, just know know what it SHOULD be.

Ayyyeee. Nothing much going on. Went on a drive the other day. Found nothing but closed gates.
Also bought a roof rack extension and was able to bolt my WWII rocket container in the rack. Still running good. Just need to finagle my way through registration with an Evap leak. 160k miles.

Well hell. I almost forgot. My buddy called the other day and decided he wanted to get the 89 ready for Moab next year. So there may be a thing or 2 going on with it soon .

Let's hear your suggestions on gears and lockers. I have the 8.25.
I don't want to do it again in 3 years, but I don't want to drop 2000. What do you run?
