I noticed in the pics you have added hood vents. Do those really help with engine temps?

My cherokee runs at 220 degrees on the slow going trails. It has never boiled over. I'm wondering if this is normal with cherokee's or if my guage is off a little. In town or on the highway the guage shows just over 210 degrees.
Nice pics looks like you guys had a good. Definitely time to ditch the trailer tires and get some sort of mud terrain.
