Well! I'm back at it. P.I.T.A XJ now won't let me get the 2 bolts/screws loose that connect at the transmission. Any suggestions?

Are you talking about the bolts that attach the trans mount to the crossmember, or the bolts that attach the mount to the trans? If its the bolts that attach the mount to the crossmember you can just cut em off. If its the bolts that go into the tranny its a bit more of a problem.
I wasn't too clear on that. It was the 2 bolts that connect the mount to the the transmission. Took 2 hours of trying w airgun.
I tried last week but no dice. So I started soaking them in PB Blaster throughout the week. I need to install new mount.
Are they just tight or are they stripping out?
I ended up getting them out, but they were coating in lock tight and there was a touch of rust crusted into the threads as well. All just one big ol' P.I.T.A.
Glad you got them out. Lock tight is not necessary on those bolts.

Steve: That's what I thought. I used a torque wrench and torqued them to OEM standard and I'll be following up with them throughout the week. I would think that's all they need.
