Default Why does my jeep die?

It doesn't happen all the time. It dies sometimes after I start it. It starts up and idles then when I push on the gas it will die. Sometimes it will die when i stop then push on the gas again like if I'm waiting at a light or waiting at a gas station. It did this when i got the jeep 4 years ago and still does it to this day. I've had the trans rebuilt and the engine overhauled.I've had the crank sensor and throttle position sensor changed with no difference. Like i said it doesn't do it all the time just once in awhile. I'm clueless at this point and have gotten use to it put was wondering if someone else has any ideas. Thank you everyone for your help.

Sounds like you need to replace the throttle position sensor.

does it happen when your jeep is cold, or hot, or both? have you checked the o2sensor? do you have a check engine light one? that bit of info may help others to assist you better. good luck to you.
