I'm hoping someone can shed some light on what a specific vacuum hose is from and to. Please see the below pics and any info you can give me on what this hose is i appreciate it.

That plastic vacuum line comes from the dash HVAC selector and goes to a valve in the heater hose line. During MaxAC it shuts down the heater water to keep the housing as cool as possible

Hmmm? I'll look for that valve on the hose. I don't remember seeing a valve on the heater hose

Will the AC function properly without it hooked up? I just replaced compressor, reciever/dryer, condenser and expansion valve. Just chasing down all the issues before I have system filled with refrigerant.

Yes. Your controls may be a bit sluggish, it is best to plug the end

I'm currently trying to find vacuum problem that would make hvac controls on blow out of dash vents. No defroster vents, etc.

Do u think if i plug it that might correct the problem? I don't mind bringing back to stock and getting the valve back in the heater hose if it's worth it

It might if that is the only vacuum leak

So Ive attached a pic of the Heater Valve and a vac line that comes out of it and when you follow it seems to be connected and goes back into cab with a bundle of vac lines.
Any other ideas what the pinkish vac line that is broken (pic above) might be?
Someone may have bypassed it, but I think that the pinkish line is the original line.

It's strange if u follow the line from heater valve it converts to a blue line that goes back to cab. Wierd
