    Default Bronco F150 Dana 44

Alright I have a question... i wanna run a d44 in the front and was wondering what vehicle would be a good choice to pull one from? i found a Full Size Bronco F150 D44 for 150. The owner doent know what year Bronco but the axle look good, thinking about picking it up! What do you think or is there a better choice? Thanks for the help!

Just so you know F/S axles will make your XJ a skate board,.. Also if you plan on a radius arm F series D44 make sure you dont get the cast wedges,.. look for the olde steep tube with a welded wedge especially if you plan on doing a 4 link front. You can look for my "Blasphemy" Jeep XJ on here that runs a 78 D44 from a Bronco. If I could go back in time I may of went another direction

If you want a D44, the only other popular choice is the Waggy front. Either way, you will have to do some fabbing to make it fit along with custom steering. Also, you will need to find a full width Ford 9" (my personal choice) or a D60 to go with it. I like full width axles and have already committed to going to full width with 38s.
