Need a breather vent tube on a dana 30
OK so i don't have anything in the vent hole on my front dana 30 diff. Since i don't have a vent hose oil got on it and it caught on fire from the heat of the exhaust. On the dana 30 diff is the thing the hose goes on pressed in or screwed in to the diff? Second that is the size diameter of the piece that goes in to the axle? I have a 242 transfer case if that matters.

Moved it for you.
I believe they are pressed in. If the fitting fell out, you may need to thread one in instead. That would involve removing the cover and covering the guts with a rag and tapping in threads. 1/8" pipe threads should be right and easy to find those taps. Clear it out with a magnet afterwards.
