Default Just trying to help us noobies

Can someone list what is needed to be changed with each lift size?

I am still learning the 4x4 world. I came from low riders when I was a teenager. So, need to help.

I am not sure anyone has ever done this, at least I have not seen it. Shocks and bumpstops need to be changed with all lifts.

    2" Front spacers and shackles
3" Front springs and add a leaf or rear spring
4-5" Front springs, brake lines, upper and lower control arms, rear springs and brake line and SYE
6-8" Front springs, brake lines, long arms, steering upgrade, rear springs, brake line

There are lots of combinations of springs and spacers. But this is how I would do it with new parts and a purist approach.

    Atlas 4 speed
    Griffin radiator
    On board air
    Warn 9.5ti on custom bumper
7.5" RE front and bastard pack rear on custom long arms
    30 gal gas tank
    lockers
And a bunch of other stuff

No. A 3" lift is the most bang for your buck

    nope should be okay

might want to change u-joints. they will make a little noise because they develop a "memory." nothing to be spooked about just be aware of the new found noise when the angle of driveline changes.

Nothing really needs to be changed with it.. but if you are wanting more flex... or rather no limiting what flex you can get... I would look into changing out your shocks, brake lines.. but just for DD use and to get up and going... you don't have to really change anything other than spacers up front, and some shackles, blocks (highly not recommended), AAL or springs..
