Default fuel lines into the rail

Ok I did check other threads perhaps I did not get the correct word or something. The plastic shaped fuel lines running from the steel fuel line to the rail well there are odd, not cheap, hard to find and fabricate found several different sizes so I replaced them with fuel injection designed and rated rubber hose using clamps designed for use on that type of hose been a couple months no problems.. Am I cool or should I still be trying to figure out how to heat the stupid plastic things.
Apologize if this is not the correct thread..

If it works, it is fine by me. I hate special fittings. But I would watch it though, you don't want any fires under the hood.

I'm a huge believer in AN fittings and stainless braid hoses for all fuel lines. No leak worries once they are tightened correctly.
