    Default Newbie on board

Just a quick introduction. I am a newbie to this board, but not to XJ's. I am currently on my 5th Cherokee. (4 XJ's and 1 FSJ). My current XJ is an 89 I picked up on the cheap after I killed the 90. I can't complain too much, the 90 had 320,000 miles on it when it gave up the ghost. :boohoo

The specs on the 89 are: 4.5" Rough Country lift, 33" Procomps, D30/8.25, NP231, 3.55 gears (soon to be 4.56), 146,000 miles. Perfect interior, great drivetrain, terrible paint. It was bone stock until I transferred the lift and tires from the 90.

It has developed a stall problem when hot, I have checked the usual suspects and I am now leaning toward a sticking EGR valve. We will see, you gotta love the Renix. It's no fun when an OBD system tells you what's wrong.
