Default pro comp es9000 shock mounting

The problem I am having is the piece that goes in the top eye doesn't want to go in so i can mount the shock up top (on rear). but it will on the bottom so can i put the shock on with the body up top? it has a arrow pointing this in down but will it hurt to mount it the other way?
I have seen it that way before. thanks again with my problems and glad to be back!!!!!!!!!!!

The es9000s are not designed to be mounted up side down so they may leak or not work as well.

If its the bar pin that you are having a hard time with grind it down a little on both end to make it kinda pointed then use some grease and a vise then hammer it in.

This work every time, I do it all the time at work with all types of shocks especially Pro Comps.

I have a set of ES9000's mounted right now with the rod mounted pointed down, it has been a month with no issues.
