4.3LXJ, is the shroud just a box that is 31X13? Do you have any relief factored in? I just replaced my rad and I found that there are two points at the bottom that could be used to hold something in place from that area and the top end has a number of options. What concerns me is having a flat backed surface that serves to suck in cool air while the Jeep is not moving (or moving slowly) but restricts air flow at highway speeds. How far back do your fans sit from the rad?

Yes it is just a box. The thing is that the fans need to be about 1.5 - 2" from the core. So what you are using for fans will determine some of what you make. You can use the mounts at the bottom of the radiator. In my case, the smallest fans I could get that flowed a decent amount of air were 11", the same height as the core. So I went a little lower and a little higher so I could have a little room around the fans.

4.3 XJ, earlier in this thread you said you were running around 4000 CFM. What kind of fans are you using to do that?

There are several part numbers you can use.

Derale fan part number 17918, 19, 26. All will pull over 2000 cfm.
