I've had the new gasket for 2 weeks now but been busy working.

To remove the valve cover is WAY harder than it needs to be. The wiring harness could be just a smidge longer IMO at the rear of the cover. Other than that it is a piece of cake.

One thing though, if you've never done this before, keep the steel washer/spacer that is inside the grommets under the bolts. I poped the old grommets out of the cover when I cleaned it up and threw them in the trash. DOH! You'll need the washer/spacers for the new grommets. Been nice if FelPro had that on the box, or even if the FSM had that little bit of info too! So I went dumpster diving into the trashcan to retreive them.

All this took care of about 99.9% of my oil leak...which had gotten REAL bad. I think the rear main seal is seeping some oil too. THAT will have to get ALOT worse before I mess with that! The topend was PERFECTLY clean, NO sludge nothing. I'm happy with that with 125,000 miles on the Jeep. I continue to swear by Castrol!
