Now it is time to tack the bracket to the edge of the 4X16” plate. The center of the hole that is in the cross member should be lined up with a perpendicular line in the equidistant between the two holes in the plate and 1 ¾” up the bracket from the center of the hole. The idea is that the joint
which is just over 3” in diameter, or a 11/2” radius will not bind on the frame when secured.
