    That, and the front "air dam" were among the very first things to be torn off all the Jeeps I've owned. I'm under there so often playing with things that I'd have to remove the PITA once or twice a month.

    The steel "skid plate" I have kept, but even that is a pain in butt if I have to do any steering work. It's currently off, but when I go on a trek I put it back on for a little (and I emphasize little ) protection.
