Some had been provided a '95 GC. There is a recall to be completed regarding a hitch. He doesn't need a hitch, I do. Wondering if the GC hitch would fit my '01 XJ or not. If it did, free new hitch for me, and that would be awesome. Thoughts?

I'm saying it won't fit. I bought a hitch back in 04 for my 01 XJ. I don't remember the company I bought it from, but I got it because it was made from 304 stainless. It sat for about 6 months and I decided to put it on one day. It would not fit. The ad said GC or XJ. All I could think was they sent me the one for the GC. Since I was not able to remember who I got it from, I took it to my mechanic and he modified it to fit. I know I had to pay the fab guy who had a shop across the street from him30 for whatever he did as well as another
