what lift?

Okay guys heres the question....Im thinking about lift kits for my xj.pretty sure im gonna go with a 3" as i dont really do any heavy offroading.I know blocks are not the best wy to go so...full leafs or add a leaf and what else besides the standard kit(coils,shocks, rear springs yada..yada) should i do to ensure good handling and performance.....

Best bang for your buck will be the S10 bastard pack and three inch coils with a trackbar relocation bracket. Then get some longer shocks and YJ rear brake line and you will have it

Those you buy by spring rate. The higher the numbers the firmer the ride. I have Rubicon Express 210# and will probably replace then with 170#. Stock is 160 I think

gotch.so brand doesn't really matter as long as you have the correct spring rate.lie i said im more going for more clearance for snow and mud.cant afford to break stuff as its my daily driver

Bear in mind that softer coils means more flex too and better traction

thank you very much steve.the last lift i did was on my 95 f250 and that was when i had more spare cash and less sense..lol.jsut bought it and put it on,wasn't worried about ride quality cause it had the 1 ton suspension anyway.now im older and i reallly don't want my teeth rattled out of my head.

I could tell you stories about the teeth rattling part. Old school suspensions were stiff

I can imagine.the f250 was bad! I drive the xj 54 miles a day round trip to work and the wife drives it when im wreching on here grand.
