Its well worth the work, which isn't too bad. A few screws and two connectors get the cluster out and put back in the "new" full gauge cluster. The cluster however has to come from a '91-'96 xj. '97+ were a different style and '90- had mechanical speedometers.

And yes, sensors have to be replaced to work with the gauges. But it is just the oil pressure and coolant temp sensors. On the model you have the temp sensor is on the rear of the cylinder head on the drivers side. And when ordering/purchasing those, be sure to get ones made to work with gauges. Ones made for lights will not work correctly.

The time and money is nothing compared to knowing the vitals of your jeep.
