    Default Old Cans

    *OLD CANS!*

He used to go to all the public functions...especially the
movie theaters. And he always carried a sugar bag to collect empty bottles and
    cans.

His name was... Albert (Tapper) Torney. Everyone thought he was a
bit eccentric and kids would tease and hassle him. Then it was discovered that he sold the empty bottles but only
    some of the cans.

After he died in 1998 (aged 86) his large collection of model
cars made from aluminum cans was discovered.

This goes to prove..."you shouldn't judge a book by its cover" - or a sculptor by his sugar bag.

    Some of his collection ----

    AMAZING!

I've always liked stuff like that made out of cans... There used to be a bar/grill back home that the owner used to make all kinds of stuff out of old cans... mainly the beer cans sold @ the bar... but either way was always intrigued!!

Thanks Steve! That was way cool! I used to know this ol guy that no one really paid much mind to...I had to go see him one time for what I don't remember but he had the most amazing collection of Models A &T, trucks sedans fire trucks, tow trucks etc. all made from toothpicks, glue and love of craft. I was amazed and asked him how he did it: he just smiled at me and wished me "Good Night".
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. If it's fixed, go break it!
