Yep it works! I plumbed the intake on the air compressor to the low side of the ac unit. Fired her up. Had nothing to lose in the old compressor and a few valve fittings already had. Included a shutoff valve of course. Replaced a leaking shrader valve and started the pump. It pulled almost 30 in about 2 minutes. Shut the valve and watched...held just fine, so I fired it up again and vacuumed about 20 minutes just to make sure. Held great! Hooked up gauges and re-charged w 134. 6 weeks ago and it'll freeze you out even in Texas 102 degrees we had last week. Now back to my overheating problem....
