I believe they all use a common ground. So I would check for a ground or reground one light and see if it makes a difference. Also use a test light to see if you get any voltage back there at all in that circuit

I removed the brake light switch but left the wires connected and the brake lights turned on. I had to reset the switch to get it to auto adjust again and it worked.
