Default How do I remove the e clip for the rear brake hose

I have search to no end and cant find anything useful. How do I remove the e clip for the rear brake hose and install the Rough Country z bracket. And yes I know I should just buy longer brake lines but I'm budgeted out.

I use a pair of channel lock pliers with an angle head. Grab on to the tab and pull while wiggling from side to side.

Well I got the hose loose from the e clip but said screw the z bracket and carefully bent the brake line down. Really don't understand how that z clip gives you extra length.

I picked up a new rear line from autozone for a 95 Dakota for 20 and it is a lot better than there relocation bracket. Even at full drop I still have lots of play. With the bracket I couldn't drop it all the way

The hose has quite a bit of slack, but not sure what you mean by "loose". I mean it is still connected to the hard brake line and to the other end on the rear end.
