Yes, it is easier. However, you cannot make them pass smog in CA. So this is the only way we can make an affordable swap. The 5.2L has an exhaust problem with the stock manifolds. They won't fit between the frame rails, so an aftermarket header needs to be used which won't make it legal here. The 4.7 doesn't have that problem.
