Can someone please explain what the difference is between the xj dana 44 and a tj dana 44, because a lot of parts distrubitors offer upgrades for the tj but not the xj.

If it is the Rubicon D44 then it is almost completely different than our XJ D44

There are lots of upgrades for it if you know what to look for. Lots of gear ratios by many companies available, full selection of lockers, 35 spline lockers, disc brake conversions, trusses. What more could you want?
