LEDs are nice and I'm glad I went that route. Bright as heck at night.
Mine is wired the way you're looking to do yours. I'd go back and double check that everything you wired is correct and that your grounds are good. Are you running a standard flasher as well? I'm not sure, but with the convertor box, it may not draw enough amps to work right. Last thing I could think of would be a bad module.
Emptypockets, I was thinking bad modual too, so I bought a new one from NAPA and wired it in. Same problem. Grounds are fresh and clean. How would a flasher unit not allow you to have brakes lights.
Did you cut the original sockets iut of the loop or just tap into the wiring?
You know what, even on my first Cherokee I had to still run seperate brake and blinkers. Thats why I used the big tail light. Where the reverse lite would have been was actually the blinker. Damn this is terrible. I can fix a tail light issue on a Pete and 53' trailer but not on my own Jeep!
Here's how my junk is wired up:
I spliced into the main harness:
I retained the factory wiring harness out to the lights and butt connected the new connectors on:
Before anyone says anything, these were taken before I melted any of the connectors. Hope this helps you out.
Hmm. Yeah thats how I wired mine up too. What was the convertor that you used. I tried two different Hoppy ones, no luck there.
