    Default Hot hot hot

Okay to lazy to search for it, so here goes. What have you done to keep your floor from getting so crazy hot? Also lots of heat in the space under the ash tray area in front of the gear shift.

You can pull the carpet and install some insulation from an automotive store.. or you could pull the carpet and spray some bedliner under it... and/or spray some underbody spray on the bottom of the trans tunnel...

A proper oil cooler for the AW4.

Get the best airflow you can, through the engine bay/tranny tunnel at all times.

Some heat shields and matting would also help.

Not a lot of space under the XJ ... so things are jammed fairly tight against the body.
I hate watching simplicity and reliability being ruined by bureaucracy and technology.

Check to see if the heat shield for the catalytic converter is still there, if thats missing the cat will add alot of heat to the floor.
