    Default Axle tube sleeves or truss or nothing

    I was givin a set of dana 30 axle tube sleeves and a truss kit. has anyone used or know of anyone who has the tube sleeves.any good or bad would be helpful I'm getting all the part together to build a hp 30 to swap out my low30.It will have a locker and hd axle shafts.

    Tub sleeves are not necessary, but anything helps. T think the only disadvantage to them would be if you wanted outer seals. I am not sure you could get them in.

    that is what I was thinking I check you tube and the ones people install look like they are resesed alittle that is way I'm checking to see if anyone has used them. how about truss kits this one has gussets for the outer C and across the top any insite.

    The main weakness of the D30 is the case. So anything that strengthens it is a good thing. Most of the time you don't have to worry about them. But if you lock with big tires in the rocks or try to run JeepSpeed they can have strength problems.

    we use to for years truss the axles then we were see the truss getting stuck on roots and rock and in mud they would push and bog down. then we relised we didn't need them unless jumping or desert racing. but we were useing 44 and 60 and some70.this is my first 30 and this is a trail and DD at times.I was thinking the C yes but across the top (?) all the truss I had before were under the axels.

    Everyone trusses across the top now for the reasons you mentioned. But as mentioned, if you are not jumping or desert racing you don't need to really. The ones that need the axel tubes and C trussing are the new Rubi D44s that have less metal in them and which coincidentally use D30 stuff outside the pumpkin

    sound like it would be a wast of time to install tubes and truss so I may just scrap them
    may find a nother use for the tubes and the truss kit will it steel who know I may find a use.

    by the way thanks I'm thinking but if I don't need the exter weight so I'm not out anything if I don't use them. I may stell use the C guiset and the tube I will look at
    and think about. thank again.
