Alternator

So I go to the parts store to get a new alternator for my 98 and I bring the old one in to avoid the core charrge and turns out tht the alt from my xj is an alt from an 05 the "newer model. Cherokee" has different wire connections but some how connected to my 98. Hhhhhhmmmmm bit strange. So I decided to go with a can of electrical cleaner and see if it helps cause its pretty muddy

Look forward to seeing if it comes back to life for ya..it is kind of interesting that it worked due to it not being the same connetions
