    Default Jeep newbie

So anyway, picked up a 85 cherokee, this has been sitting for 14 years.
2.8L w/auto, 2door, body and interior are in great shape.

What should I do with it?

    Keep engine stock?
strip all the BS to bare engine? no inspections here.
    swap engine/trany?

get it running and sell it to fund something I can do more with?

I would prefer not to have a computer in whatever I end up with.

    I'm so confused.

I'v striped down SBC for race cars, but not sure this will work for the jeep.

If it was my choice it would depend on what i have laying around

if i had chevy v8 or v6 "4.3only" with tranny and transfer case i'd do the complete swap. If not i would look into the 3.1 camaro swap

Yes som of that depends on what you have available and what kind of smog laws you have to contend with. If none, SBC with a carb would be a great swap with a 700R4 or TH350
