Hi, I've read with interest the comments on this issue. I have a 2000 XJ which I am about to install a x6 changer into. Having retrieved a factory fit unit from a wrecked 1999 XJ Orvis I found that it was fitted with a square 8-pin plug instead of the round 8-pin din socket on my Jeeps changer cable.
Is a splice the best route or can I souce a cable as forum member Radar seems to be doing.
I guess the type of plug was changed by Chrysler at some time, but I thought
both these vehicles were pretty close in age that they'd have the same connector.
Any advice appreciated!
