Genuine Mopar, p/n 53005421, new in the bag from a defunct dealership - not aftermarket junk. For Renix models w. 2.5L / 4.0L engines. These CPS's advance ignition timing ~3*-5* over the stock CPS....
I'm non-Cali and OBDI with one single O2 sensor in the header. I just need to know the factory O2 harness routing for the upstream O2 sensor.
I am running an 01 XJ intake manifold on my 4.6L stroker. Can someone with a 99-01 XJ either snap a pic or describe the O2 harness routing from the top of the engine cable run down to the O2 sensors?...
Here are a couple of worthwhile mods I didn't see:
1. Replace the Steering Gear Box with a Quicker Ratio ZJ Box. The stock XJ/MJ steering ratio is steering 14:1, 3.5 turns lock-to-lock. The 93-98...
Fits well. One less thing to think about.

Posted this over at the Comanche Club - it applies here too.
I was checking the fuel pressure today and unscrewed the Schrader valve cap to attach the pressure gauge. The cap was full of fuel! So...
It sounds like you may have hit the nail on the head XJScarlet. As well as a new CPS, I've also put in a new 94-97 distributor, and a new O2 sensor. So far no more cutouts or fault codes....
I agree with changing the CPS first. It's the most logical and is a very common failure, and can cause all the electrical symptoms you mentioned.
If no joy swap the fuel pump relay with a similar...
Check for fault codes. It might just help.
I did. :D
Wanted for 1996 and below XJ/MJ, if anyone has one they are not planning on using.
You can always convert to the 1999+ intake and use the dealer supplied heat shield like I did. Keeps the fuel rail a lot cooler. It was a TB to help prevent heat soak.

Rock Auto carries the complete 5/16" fuel line repair kits @ $12.68/ea.
Do a parts search for STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS p/n HK7.
They also carry the 3/8" quick disconnects used on the tranny...
IMHO installing Ford Mustang injectors (~28PSI @ what pressure?) on a normally aspirated 4.0 engine, which is what you seem to have even with the new intake, is most always a waste of $$ and fuel. I...
I had the bar stock in my pile of prior projects material (I save most everything). It's also available online at places like this: http://www.onlinemetals.com/ and on Ebay.
Here's how I hooked up the e-brake cables on my MJ rear disks by using Ford factory brake clevis brackets. Works well with Explorer and/or Teraflex disk brakes. These are available form Lokar and...
Since I did a modest 3" lift I've been meaning to install bump stop extensions. I had done the front using hockey pucks, but never got around to the rear. I had some 1" thick x 3"-W aluminum flat...
After I completed the 96 XJ brake booster / master I didn't like how the stock windshield washer tank was located, it was too close to the new master cylinder brake lines. The solution was to replace...
Yes I do.
It's a well constructed radiator. I have been through quite a few single core and three core rads and this one performed the best for me.

I called FFD and asked the price for the rad only. I don't know what the price is now though as I purchased it a few years ago. I'll edit my post...
Here's a simple little mod that saves you time by enabling you to check your fuel pressure any time you want. The parts:
1.) A 0-60 PSI liquid-filled 1-1/2" fuel pressure gauge from Jegs, p/n...
