Have the same issue but the cable housing broke, some tie wire and backyard engineering just barely helped, so I'll be replacing both regulators on mine.
It's a simple swap, pull the cap, leave the wires connected, pull the rotor and replace it should fit into a notch on the distributor shaft. you can put a small bead of clear silicone around the base...
Payless4x summed it up pretty well, Bubbles in the overflow tank, milky colored oil, or a sweet smell at the tail pipe will also indicate a blown head gasket, or a damaged head. Also white exhaust...
I dout that it has a drain bung ( haven't seen one since my datsun 260Z) that bash plate just protects the tank, and with the price of gas, detroit is gonna make it hard to get it out with out...
Does it have a miss like a spark plug or bad wire?
just a thought, did the j/y pump come as a whole assembly (pump & float) and if so was it the same year model? that might make differance.
A little Arm & hammer baking soda on the battery cable ends and a little water will also clean the ends, If you do change the cables make sure all the connections are clean, especially the ground...
I agree with Lizard and the others, It sounds like the fluid is bypassing the seal in the master cyl. And if your rig has any age on it the slave cyl may need attention also.
I would think if it was an o2 sensor issue it would trip a code, my daughter's chevy tracker "cute lil' critter" had the o2 plug get against the exh man and melted shorting it out and setting a code....
I haven't done mine, But a front end guy I used to know always chose moog, although spicer has the same quality, so I'd have to go with price and availability, for me , probably moog.
Good to hear it's all ok. Engines can take a little heat "drag cars for example" but we don't want to push our luck! happy motoring.;)
I can't say for sure JC, some differentials have a tag on the center section, if the numbers match I'd say the odds are good, or if you can get both axles to compare, count and mic the splines and...
Hmmm. That's odd, I recently had to change the rad and I did all the hoses, tstat, and wpump gasket, all I did was to fill the rad and res bottle, warm the engine till the tstat opened then top it...
Sorry for your loss Steph, you are in our prayers.
Man that tread wear is unusual, I've never used a gauge to check the depth, we would use a penny turned with Lincoln upside down and if the top of his head was visible, it was time to replace. Also...
Bluedragon is right youtube may be helpful. I've done a few,, not on jeeps but it is pretty standard the hardest part is getting to the freeze plug to knock it out. take a punch or chisel and hit one...
well my '99 runs around 200 degrees on the hiway and I haven't noticed the splashguard but I think it's there. With everything you've replaced on the cooling system I'm at a loss for ideas, if it's...
Steph, I'd have to agree with the others and say the u joints, or maybe the pinion bearing on the rear diff. good luck with it.
Thanks, to everyone for your thoughts and prayers. Everyday I see my wife getting stronger and next month she will have her second post surgery pet scan to check for any signs of return. so far after...
My '99 has two, the one before the cat is the up stream or #1 and the one past the cat is the down stream #2. and Payless is correct they are heated and the heater quitting or the harness getting on...
I have gotten power to the fan and a/c with jumper wires but no power any other way.
Again, I've checked the fuses & relays I hope i don't have a broken wire other wise i'll do with out a/c :)
Guy's, thanks for the input. I have power to one side of the relays, however the the other side of the relays that makes them complete the circut I don't have power, and once again I have checked the...
My '99 xj's a/c does not work and the aux. cooling fan also doesn't work.
I've tried swapping the relays, checking fuses, and pulling and cleaning control
switch, with no success. Do I take it to a...
I've used it many times and have been very pleased with the results, I also like to use Slick 50 oil treatment, i've put many miles on an engine and have enjoyd good service from it! : )
