This is just a thought, you can run higher temps if your coolant passes through the rad too fast, could the highflow pump and thermostat at highway speeds be passing coolant through a little too...
I really love those and the price is awsome. Will be ordering mine ASAP. :patriot::thumbsup::thumbsup:
CONGRAT'S :thumbsup::thumbsup:
I really like this idea.
Yeah it happens on my 88 when it is really cold out, don;t have that issue during the warm months. Mine doesn't have to get ice on it, just when it get's really cold, it goes away after the xj has...
I've been thinking along those lines my self for a while. I think it would look good on the older, square XJ's. Will be watching to see what you come up with.
No real problem with it leaking so far, if it does I'll just add some black perma-tex to stop it. I'm in the process of getting the material together for a roof rack and when I build it I am going to...
I got them at Advance Auto, they come in an assorted pack with several different sizes, around 3 bucks.
I have a JVC deck with cd 2 MTX truck boxes with 10 inch subs, 2.5 inch tweeters and horn mids. The amp is under the back seat with a capacitor. Hides it real good. I can put up some pics tomorrow.
Thank's, that's where my last oil leak is, this will make fixing it a lot easier.
Found a pic, it's mounted where the center vent used to be.

That's a great scanner, I'm running the same one, I have a pic. of it installed in my XJ. I'll post it as soon as I can find it. It's worth the price you quoted, I payed quit a bit more for mine new....
Ok everyone, who runs a scanner and what kind do you use? :patriot:
Thanks, that gives me a better idea of where to look and what to look for.
Thank's for the help, but I have another question, Does anyone know where it plugs in under the dash? Sorry for the trouble but my Hanes manual doesn't tell me anything. :driving:
Thank's, that is the one.:thumbsup:
Thank's that will give me some idea. It comes out of the colum but I don't know where it is supposed to go.
I'm not sure if the colum is the same year but mine had the same plug but it wasn't hooked up. Could it be the cruise control?
I replaced my steering colum and I have 4 small wires that are in a black sheild and run out of the colum. They have a small flat plug, can anyone tell me what they plug into ??:confused:
The Uniden is a good choice but cost a bit more than the Cobra. Either would be a good choice. The internals of these radios are nearly identicle so the only real consideration you should have is...
Thanks, but I can't take the credit, I saw it on another forum just can't remember the exact one. :patriot:
I hope it helps some people or at the very least maybe gives them some ideas of their own.
It's been a while coming but here it is: I drilled a half inch hole on the roof.

Sprayed with primer and installed...
What would you take for it in cash? I could use it.
