Sweet, thanks.
Assuming this is normal?
Can anyone tell me the specific process to bleeding brakes in a 91 XJ 4.0? I would look online but I think directly from someone who owns/has owned a vehicle like mine is much more reliable
Well its all fixed now... I found out from the previous owner that he never flushed it, only added more fluid when it "seemed low". Which isn't awful I guess, but assuming it has 200K+ miles... It...

Yeah, I'll snap a few in a bit. But making it stronger for the trail makes sense, definitely something I would have done myself in that case.
My XJ has the steering out of a one ton truck (allegedly) and I was wondering what this would do? I can understand one ton axles, but why the steering?
Best thing I'll read all day
I could go for a northwest section. Its tough finding Idahoans with XJs
Anyone have any idea how much I could sell the locker for? Ain't gonna do me any good, seeing as I wont ever get around to rebuilding the old rear end.
Yeah when I can, I'm flushing it. I usually do when I get new vehicles. Can't stand people who throw fluid in and think its good forever.
Constantly overheated no matter the speed. Buried the gauge (past red, pointing towards the 0 of 260). Just some big issue
Yeah I just went with another Dana 35.
I'm not to worried about the locker. It was just icing on the cake. The new axle works phenomenally so its all good.
I got the Jeep and test drove it, and it all checked out- drove fine, ran fine, sounded fine. But on the way back (about... 40 minutes down the road) it started to overheat. It has an electric fan...
I'm thinking I'll just build my 4.0. I like it... Plus gas doesn't cost quite an arm and a leg (just an arm) like diesel does.
Got it figured. We didn't line up the axle with the hole on the top leaf. There was no bolts on this one, but its holding together just fine.
So this is what's left of the old rear end... Poor thing never stood a chance.
Y'all have got to see this... I replaced the rear axle (because it was gonna cost 800 to rebuild) and just for poops and giggles i took a look inside of the old one, needless to say i started...
I recently replaced my rear axle (since my other one blew out, which was pretty comical). I had it installed and everything and noticed that my rear driver side tire was extremely close to the fender...
My original inline 6 is getting tired, and I would REALLY like to put a Cummins in my Cherokee. Does anyone know if and what Cummins would fit under my hood and marry up to my transmission (which is...
extremely, loud, knocking, rear, okee, there was a slight knocking in the rear end that was allegedly from the "locker" (or so the guy said). But today my tranny slipped and then popped back in and...
