Hey gang, sorry I'm a little slow with these photos of this years Easter jeep Safari in Moab, Utah. I figured I had better sit down and get these up before I get to busy with the move to Vegas.

I think after doing my front doors the back doors are next. Thanks for the write up.
I'll see what kind of footage we get and how "family friendly" it is and let you all know.
Can you make videos?
We are heading to Moab Jeep safari in a couple weeks and we always bring along our flip cams on these trips to make our own little show. :moon:
I need to build a cage anyway. With the doors gone, I think I have weakened the roof in the event of a flop and I don't want to had a flat top XJ!
The finished project

That was my plan but my compressor couldn't keep up with the cutting, so we just torched it. I have a cap that fits over the cut so it will all get covered up anyway.
Got started on the interchangeable door project this week and thought I would throw out some photos and an update for everyone. So, here are some of my photos of the progress.
First, I cut the...
I was going to start cutting my donor doors today, but winter has made a return and it is currently snowing here in central Utah. I will have to put it off till this weekend. Photos to come. Thanks...
So what about the door buzzer and dome lights? I would like to still keep the ability to use my dome lights when I need them.
Sweet, I didn't see that thread before or I would have saved my breath. So there is a plug to disconnect the electrical wires for the doors. Thanks for the info. I'll post some photos when I get this...
Okay, my next step on old Dudley is I want to cut my doors down so I can see out better and help keep the inside of my ride cool on those hot summer trails! I have a killer parts department (AKA-two...
Here's a bad cop story to go along with yours. My wife got off work one after noon to find a State highway patrol officer parked behind our truck. When she walked up to him and asked him if there was...
Hey gang, this is my first attempt at a write up so bear with me on this one. A couple of weeks ago I had one of The State of Utah's finest (Utah Highway Patrol) Officer pull me over to inform me...
Running a six inch lift with a lowered pitman arm as well. No problem as a DD. My wife drives Dudley to work when it snows. I think she's just looking for a good reason to drive the XJ.
I'm locked front and rear and since I only go out in a group with some tow straps a winch really isn't on my list. Not to say if I came across a great deal on one I wouldn't jump on it. But, out here...
I had same loud popping sound and changing my ball joints put a stop to that. I would make sure you get a ball joint remover because it a whole lot of work without one!
Thanks Guys!
I'm trying to find an easy solution to attaching some bulletproof recovery points to the back of "Dudley". Right now I have a fabricated tube bumper that the PO had made but it's just attached to the...
Kinda like they are making up for some "short" coming somewhere. BUT, I'm still a little jealous.
Im unaware of a disconnected 35. That's where I got lost. I assume he ment the disco 30. But I tend to learn something new everyday.
Disconected rears? Like the Dana 35?
Oh they are original. He's. Not done any nods to it at all. I just wasnt sure about what year they stoped installing the disconnected 30. I really appreciate the help.
His is a 92. So, are you saying that the non discos can in the XJ's after about 91?
I have been running the same axles your 91 has on 33's with a 6 inch lift. Im not a big advocate of the turd but so far I have only broke one axle and that was on the short side of my D30. Well I had...
