49psi plus or minus 5 psi. pulled the dist cap off and looked at the rotor it had some carbon on it. Cleaned it off took for a short drive but still missing and back firing when you step into it.
Fuel pressure is 46psi when the key is turned on and when its running it is between 46psi to 50psi.
Thats where mine runs all the time, unless the dang thing is over heating that is.
I double checked the spark plug gap and found that I had to open them up a little, also used some parts cleaner on them. The idle seemed to smooth out. I also looked into the plenum it looked like...
Black and have a wet look to them. Am wondering if we might have a bad plenum gasket. Thanks for your help

Well I figured out how to get rid of my humming Dana 35!! Buy another jeep with the same ratio and do the swap again. Ha Ha and this time don't pull the third member.
We use the heavy barreled guns out here in Wyo. for hunting coyote's all the time. My uncle has a Remington 700 in a .204 caliber with a heavy barrel. He has taken yotes out to 500 yards with it....
What is the brand that we should avoid? I have been thinking of doing this also. But don't want to buy the parts that wont hold up to daily use. Thanks
I will get some tomorrow of the locker.
I like the on line - offline window
I don't think so was I suppose to? Everthing looked ok when I inspected it.
Ok so I pulled the locker out I was getting a clunk when I let up on the throttle. After looking at it the holes that the pins are in were egg shaped. Wondering if they maybe make a sleeve kit for...
When I had my rear end open and was turning the drive line back and forth. It looked like the metal pins are where the play is coming from, like the holes they are in are to big for them.
When I turn the drive line by hand it turns about an 1/8" or more before it starts turning the tire's either way.
How much play do the lock right lockers have? I think that I might have an excessive amount in mine. thanks
Are you talking about the ones that go between the axle and locker?
It is very possible that I might have got them mixed up.So If I do process of elimination I can get it back to a non humming D35? I figured out that I did not need to pull it after it was to late....
