Re: RC 4.5 Long Arm Install
It should not shift side to side no matter what lift you have. Seems like the hole in track bar mount might be worn out. Either that or the nut on the trackbar is not tight enough.
Re: RC 4.5 Long Arm Install
Ya I do believe track bar is where the problem is. RC kit is new and it is my first install that I have done. Should not be worn out but defintley moves back and forth maybe a 1/16 to 1/8 and I figured it should be snug in there. I will put a larger bolt in there and give it a go.
Re: RC 4.5 Long Arm Install
Does the track bar have movement on the axle end or the "frame" end?

Re: RC 4.5 Long Arm Install
Yeah I'd def say if you can throw a larger bolt in there... and you'll probably have to add a new nut as the nutsert already there will be too small... Seems a bit odd though, unless someone prior to you had installed the wrong bolt or something!!
Re: RC 4.5 Long Arm Install
They said to replace bold with one supplied in kit and the new nut was just regular not a insert so made for a pain when tightening up. I will look into it further in the morning and see if it would be better to just put old one in.
Re: RC 4.5 Long Arm Install
Well its pretty rare for that end to wear out, but possible. But yeah you can put in a larger bolt, but sure is gonna be a PITA to put a nut back there.
Re: RC 4.5 Long Arm Install
Ya it will be a pita hopefully it fixes problem. was just reading some other posts and some people were having issues with the new bolt being to long. I will let you know tommarow. Thanks for your input!
Re: RC 4.5 Long Arm Install
larger bolt cured the prob. thanks again
