Triple Electric fan sensor install

I am nearing the install on my 98 so now the questions begin. I have the Dirtbound triple fan shroud, 3 Perma Cool fans and a Ron Francis wiring harness. The wiring kit comes with the sensor and says it has 3/8 pipe thread and suggests installing in the head. Is there another option to install this? A tee in a heater hose or in the thermo housing, radiator hose? Any advise would be great thanks!

Mine was purchased a year or so ago from Dirtbound and the sensor was set up to install in the hose. Was your sensor not from Dirtbound?
