I put one on my 2000 XJ.
Mine had one when I bought it. I'm not sure of the brand.. I had to take it off. to do some work then bolt it back on. Easy as changing a light bulb.
I belive if you get one made for your year it should bolt up to the factory holes already in the frame.
and order nut straps to go into the frame.I just did my and the bolts holding the skidplate snaped off.had to replace nutstrap'
I got my hitch off of a junk yard jeep. I looked for several weeks and found a class five hitch. The jeep also had a skid plate so I knew it would fit over/around my factory skid as well. If you have a skid plate you should already have the nut strips inside the "frame". if not then there are many vendors that sell them or if you take the hitch from a junk yard Jeep make sure to take the nutstrips as well. You will have to remove the bumper to get them out.
