Driveline vibs
with the new tcase i put in and redid the sye. i left the output a little longer this time but now i have vibrations. the longer output makes the drive shaft hard to fit in. at ride height it has no up travel slip. im assuming this is where my vibs are coming from. so would adding shims fix this or do i need to make the rear lift lower or make the tcase out put shorter? i dont want to pull the case agin after all the hassle i had getting it in.

Re: driveline vibs
And by your description, your drive shaft has no telescoping travel left in its current position?

Re: driveline vibs
correct none when the axle would cycle up. like its as short as it goes.

Re: driveline vibs
First thing is that you will need to shorten that tail shaft. Otherwise you will be replacing something else shortly. Whatever the weakest link is. That may be the source of your vibes also, but hard to tell until you get it set up correctly

Re: driveline vibs
so how short does the tail shaft need to be then? the first time i did it it was at the minimum. and i blew that case up.

Re: driveline vibs
That I cannot answer. It needs to be short enough that when the suspension is fully cycled it does not bottom out. But if you are bottoming out now, probably two inches shorter anyway

Re: driveline vibs
ugh that sucks. i just got it back in there this week. but yes the shaft is fully collapsed at ride height.

Re: driveline vibs
On second thought, take an inch off the shaft. I think that would work out better
