Transmission cooler line! HELP!!!!
I have a 1997 cherokee sport 4.0 4x4
Im having issues getting the transmission cooler lines
Its the upper line, and im replacing the about 2 feet of hardline and where it meets the soft line it has a plastic clip, Ive tried to use fuel line dis connects on it no work
I tried to push in and pull i tried too, get a plyers and press them in and pull off, Im kinda stumped!!!

If all else fails, cut it off and replace with a short piece of rubber hose.

Theres two types of connectors.
One uses the fuel line disconnect tool.
The other - requires squeezing the, two, visible bits of plastic, whilst wriggling the line out.
... thats if the plastic clip isnt all out of shape from heat and time .. :rolleyes:
Try push the line in, before pulling it out.
Why carmakers dont just use time proven, effective, barbed fittings and hose clamps is beyond me .. :confused: .. :mad:
If all else fails and you have to cut it ... try and use a pipe cutting tool.
Using a hacksaw creates lots of filings that could end up back in your gearbox.
