Recovering seats
My front seat has had cracked, well an actual hole in driver's side viynal near the door for years. Matt stopped by with some same years seats, just better condition.
I had no idea my driver's seat was so dirty. So much for thinking I wasn't getting it dirty just backing it out of the garage after working on the Jeep!

The seat bracket on the replacement seat was broken and all the metal was rusty. Mine was nice, shiney and sturdy. So I went about figuring out how to remove the "skins" from the seats. Pretty easy once you get going.
Here are the better looking skins on the old seats. Oh, I did move the cushion over from the replacement seat....
and installed...

Re: Recovering seats
Yup nice job. I have a set of early electric seats I think I will be parting with. I was going to do somewhat the same thing, but make 2 door seats out of 4 door seats. But, not doing that now
