Re: Need help please! Trans and NSS issues
No, it would not. Please disconnect the battery cables for a few minutes and touch them together and drive it for awhile. This will reset the computer and clear codes and then we can go from there. Replacing that wire is a good idea now too then we can deal with only one issue at a time.
Re: Need help please! Trans and NSS issues
Ok. I'll do that when I get off work. And I'll let you know what happens.
Re: Need help please! Trans and NSS issues

Re: Need help please! Trans and NSS issues
After you have disconnected the battery and touched the two wire terminals together, you will see the codes gone. Next replace that wire (supplement it actually) as 4.3 suggests. Then start and drive the Jeep for awhile (up to operating temp at least) If all problems are gone then quit. If not let us know for your next step.
Re: Need help please! Trans and NSS issues
I figured out the starting issue. As you all stated the po jumped it. He had the wire his under the fuse block.
Re: Need help please! Trans and NSS issues
glad you found the gremlin... my 90 has a few electrical/NSS issues. but ive yet to takle them.
Re: Need help please! Trans and NSS issues
Codes are gone, check engine light is off and it's off to the inspection station Saturday.
Re: Need help please! Trans and NSS issues
Make sure you drive it a little extra first. If they checked right now they would know you disconnected and cleared the codes. Put a half tank through it. Go for a nice drive
Re: Need help please! Trans and NSS issues
I'll do that. And thanks again for your help.
