Don't want to strip the screws.
I've been riding around without putting the long screws in on my front freedom tops. Could there be any reason why they should be screw in, they seam to hold good without leaking? I've also heard about other people not putting the screws back on the doors so they can take them off and back on quicker. Are these mainly there to slow down a thief or could these slowly cause problems.
Re: Don't want to strip the screws.
That is a good question Dusty. But I have to confess that I am somewhat JK illiterate. Post up some pics so we can get a better idea of what you are talking about. And, is this an aftermarket top?
Re: Don't want to strip the screws.
I've only played around with the freedom tops a few times and if I can remember correctly the front of them clamps down on the window frame similar to the soft tops. They wouldn't be required at all times but to me would be added security if they were staying on for long periods to keep the from coming off. I'd hate tone running down the road and lose one knowing they are far from cheap to replace.
