Missions trip
I have the opportunity to take my wife to Africa on a missions trip with our church. We are very excited to serve over there! I ask all of you faithfuls on this forum, to pray for us and our team as we prepare, and head out October 1-11. We are going to do some fundraising to help us support our trip, whatever we don't raise, we pay out of pocket, and that's fine. It will be worth every penny! I don't expect anyone to donate, and that is not my intentions of this post. Prayer is more powerful than any dollar sign out there. I would appreciate those more!
Keep us lifted up! Thank you!

Re: Missions trip
Sounds fun, an experience of a lifetime. I'll surely pray and may God bless your trip.

Re: Missions trip
We had a number of ladies that just returned. Kind of tense over there at times. They had armed guards to protect them provided by the government.

That would be scary... But fear is not of God, I am going carefree, knowing His will be done. :-)

Re: Missions trip
Agreed, but don't be naive. Faith doesn't cover presumption. Their morals over there go back to tribalism. If the gov says escort, take it.

Re: Missions trip
what part are you heading to

Going to lusaka, Zambia. Not being naive, just been on a few of these in some crazy times and fear was not anything I felt. Obviously if the government said I needed guards, I wouldn't tell them no, but I am not going with the attitude that I need to be scared.
