front axle Dana 30 with cad.
i am fixing to put a lockright in. i have been reading i have to rip out cad and get a solid axle. is this true?

I don't see how it would be a problem to leave the CAD, but im not sure. I will ask around and see what I can find out.
where do you wheel bigjim? im in kingwood. we got some woods where we go.
Not a real problem. There will be a slight drag on the driver side because it will be turning all the drive train from there. If it is a problem, you can permanently lock the CAD for about 25 cents and call it good.
If you're going to leave the CAD why not just weld the spiders and disco everytime you hit pavement?
