Anyone near me (elgin) with a timing gun? Mine isnt working anymore and dont want to buy one until I tear the motor apart if needed, I think its a few degrees off knocking a bit and exhaust temps are too hot. Thanks in advance.

I dont have an spot thermo anymore due to dropping it 30' but just as common sense and my mechanical apptitude I know for a fact the Muffler isnt supposed to vaporize water on contact after 10 minutes of run time. This all started with a smoking cat.....

Ive been thinking of cutting it off from the trans xmember back. Front pipe is split too and im sure the stock manifold is cracked.... I hit em both with a mallet and got no noise which doesnt seem right. Im sure the PO did damage trying to wheel it. The noise in the top end could be from a plugged pipe. I have zero loss of power and strong flow out the tailpipe
Crack in the header equals possible air in the exhaust in front of the O2 sensor which leads to a rich mixture. I had a mis once and made my muffler hot enough to discolor the muffler.
I think youre right. After a bit I decided to snort the tailpipe. I got buzzed lol shes running rich. Now to coax the wife into letting me use the plastic money.

And she made the comment "id like a wrangler" the other night when out in the xj. I thought that was funny as she hates the xj because of its issues.
